There are way too many variables for us to troubleshoot this on Thwack, it would be best for you to open a Support ticket to further discuss and diagnose.

First most of these messages should only show for Admin users and not all users. You can turn off the blog posts by going to the settings page and select Orion Product Blog link and un-check "store blog posts" and save. You can also disable product update notifications as well by going on the same settings page the Product…

We match them up by MAC address, which means you have to be managing the interfaces on the existing nodes that are also VMs. Is this how you have it setup? If you are configured like this and it is still not working, then please open a support ticket and include diagnostics
-
I think you also posted this on another thread, can you tell me what version you are on?
-
Please submit a support case along with the MIB and it will be incorporated into the MIB DB which gets updated every week or two and can then be downloaded back into your install.
-
You mean this?
-
Do you have any support cases still open? Can you expand upon what you are seeing with c and d further?
-
Are the interfaces already in the database? You can use the SDK to (un)manage the interfaces if they are already in the database. If they are not in the database, we are working on a version of the SDK where can add them using the write SDK.
-
So the VIP's are two different IP's and you want to monitor identical processes on both, is that accurate?
-
Good feedback. Workaround to #1 right now is to add the thin ap's as IMCP only nodes and then they are available to add to maps
-
The List Resources function is done in real time against the devices, so if they are not show in that list, then they are not present in the IF-MIB. You can do a MIB Walk to confirm this, but if they are in another MIB you will need to create a UNDP.
-
One idea would be to add the thin AP's as ICMP only nodes into NPM and then they can be added to the map.
-
It can be turned off with a workaround It's a bit of a hack, but it's possible: Edit the file “C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\js\NetObjectTips.js” and remove the following lines: $("a[tooltip!='processed'][href*='NetObject=']").livequery(function() { this.tooltip = 'processed'; $.swtooltip(this); });

You may also want to check out another product we have geared more in depth at Virtualization if you are looking at Veeam. See here for more info

Thanks for the feedback. Let me look into #1, sounds odd and may be a bug, if so I will file a defect. We are actively researching adding automated topology mapping functionality into a future release, I may contact you offline to discuss further. A couple other features we did add to this version are the ability to add…

Your call on whether to try or not or wait until morning, but see this post regarding the SDF file, I think this may help, see here

What about the disk space on the Orion server? How is the space on each of the hard drives?
-
They are rolled up
-
There should be a top 10 resource on the top 10 page you can use. Also on the Wireless page under the Network tab you can change the group by there to status and view AP's by their status
-
Terrific feedback and for sure noted. I can say # 8 is high on my hit list for the next release and other items listed above we already had on the list. I would like try pry into a couple of these items further. Traps - what are you thinking here, just filtered intergration with the Orion Trap view? Reporting on contrainer…

If you own the product, feel free to open a support ticket. If you are evaluating the product, please post back and we can get an SE to reach out to assist you
-
You can create a UnDP against your 6500 and then create alerts off the UnDP
-
With newer versions of NPM they are stored in the DB. Are you asking which table?
-
Don't worry about hurting my feelings. Why did you want to remove the blog posts? Since they are from the Product Management team, we wanted to give more insight into tips and tricks and what we were working on.
-
Check out this post here, might be of interest
-
Did you follow page 342 of the Admin Guide here? Also check out here, in the next version we are adding more native AD Auth.
-
Is there any method to the IP Scheme of the VM's or all they all over the place?
-
I will check around, but I am not aware of any tight integration with LANDesk. We have all of the alerting actions you can use to send email, traps etc.
-
I think you are referring to Network Weathermap type functionality, is that correct?
-
There is a resource for reports that you can add to this page and then you can select to display this report, have you tried that?
