I have this in two different requests. One for ack alert via SMS or email and second with the other thwack thread you posted on about putting notes in alerts.
-
Do you have a web proxy you must go through?
-
I would open a support ticket to investigate what is going on. If it is set to no timeout for that account, that should not be happening
-
So I double checked an no you cannot currently export the subnets from NPM and import into IPAM, but a good idea
-
We cannot currently specify a seed router and search for subnets, this is an open enhancement in the system. Let me double check though if we can export from Orion
-
See if anyone else in the community has any thoughts, but only main thing I can think of is ensure SQL Server is up and running before starting back up Orion NPM
-
Yes, NPM can receive SNMP traps
-
I can see how that can be a problem. I will get an item filed in the system on this
-
No you cannot currently put them all into one graph, this is an open enhancement request. How are these stored? Can you use a get table and them display each one in a table?
-
You are correct, animated images are not supported currently. It is an idea we have defined in the system, so I will append your name to the request. Just out of curiosity, what are these images showing?
-
Not sure I get what you are asking for. Only thing we gather via SNMP in 10 now is volumes, interfaces and CPU/Memory of the ESX server. We gather the rest via the API.
-
Have you seen this post which may be what you are seeing to?
-
If you do a list resources and the interfaces don't show up, then they are not present in the IF-MIB which is what we are looking at. Are those interfaces available in another MIB? If yes, you may have to create a UNDP to monitor them.
-
Max, This is something we are investigating expanding into Orion. In case you do not know we recently acquired a company which brings up further depth in the virtualization monitoring as well as storage resource management. You can read more about that here. This does handle data stores as well as other info.
-
Someone created a UnDP for a PowerEdge here you might look at for reference -
-
Don't think this is possible today, but as a workaround, I put in www.google.com and added it as external and then renamed it after to Brandon and it took this. You just can then ignore the IP Address.
-
Please open a support ticket. You may also want to look into upgrading to 10.1.3 to see if that resolved your issue.
-
Would 5 devices be enough for you to do upgrade testing etc.? Right now you are correct we have the 30 day evaluation. We have discussed internally a lab edition, but nothing committed.
-
Check your view limitations for your account, looks like you may have some defined blocking view access. If not, open a support ticket to look at closer.
-
Might want to check out this doc
-
Maps and images are now stored in the database with 9.5, so you would need to update the DB
-
Depending on what you are using for your support intranet and it's capabilities I can think of two options 1) Use URL Direct Link to embed a view as a portlet in your support portal 2) We also have a SDK available to pull data out of Orion and you can then work with that If you want the SDK, let me know as you need to…
-
I believe you have to configure net-snmp on those boxes. So you just want to monitor the ESX box or the guests? With vSphere 4, VMWare no longer populates their MIB's we traditionally used with ESX 3.5 to gather guest info etc.
-
Have you tried calling customer service and not support?
-
It depends on the device, but yes we use the Cisco vendor MIB. We attempt the newer MIB first and if that does not respond, we attempt the older version, but below are the OID's we use. Newer Cisco CPU: * OID_cpmCPUTotal1min = "1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.4" * OID_cpmCPUTotal5min = "1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5" *…

In the web console go to Admin -> Web Console Settings and update Site Logo URL field
-
I would recommend a support ticket to investigate further and see what is going on.
-
Best bet is a support ticket so the team can investigate your system and logs further
-
Good feedback on the regex search. You should be able to do some wildcard searching today, I used * and it worked, what other wildcards are you interested in.
-
Have you restarted the service? I would also recommend opening a support ticket as well
