So you would have to continue using this custom resource in 9.5. However, please see this link here, specifically the last bullet. A user could enter comments into here based on an alert that other users could view and report on

If a device has multiple IP's that respond to discovery, if we discover them as apart of a single discovery profile we will de-duplicate them. However, if you scan the same subnet in two different discovery profiles this de-duplication will not occur. I have an enhancement in to do this. Can you define further running a…

Have you looked at the additional images for maps in the additional component section of the customer portal?
-
No, all Core versions must match up.
-
We don't have any formally published API's yet. Are you just looking to pull data out of our system into another system?
-
Is there any chance you could install a trial version of a newer version and test against one of the trouble machines? That way you wouldn't disrupt your existing v7.5.5 installation.
-
Do you know if those values are exposed via WMI? If so, you could use the WMI monitor to gather that information.
-
How are you getting to this? Have you tried clicking on the link on the sample map page on Network Summary Home page? There should be a link to Download Network Atlas. If not, if you click edit on the map resource, there should be a check box to show that link
-
I can speak to NPM. Please see this thread regarding SQL 2008 support - . Windows 2008 support will come in the same release
-
I wouldn't say never, but this is not next on the list of support we want to add. There are vendors with more requests/market share out there like MSFT HyperV or Citrix

If you edit in web node management one of the VMWare server, do you have "Poll VMWare" checked and the VMWare credentials defined here?
-
If that device does not respond or support the OID we poll to gather that information, we will not show those gauges. You can create a UnDP to gather that info and assign to that device
-
The MIB did not associate to the enterprise tree. However the OIDs are there so you only needs to use the OID anyway to create the UnDP, so you should be good to create a custom poller still.
-
You cannot currently do this today, this is an open enhancement request. Currently you can only give a user one of 4 roles which gives them different permissions within IPAM to do things, but they can see everything.
-
We base the response time of the device on ping and we use the same facility as you do from the command line. Errors & Discards for an interface we poll via SNMP from the IF-MIB
-
So you have a sub-map with multiple nodes and you unmanage one of them and the icon on the parent map goes blue? How is this coming into play in your environment?
-
Is ICMP allowed through the PIX? We use ping to determine availability
-
If you are running IPAM v1.5 you can change this for going forward by leveraging this utility, see here As Martin mentioned, to change your existing subnets, please open a support ticket so we can assist you.
-
Can you please open a support case and please reference this thread in the case
-
No, not that I am aware of. This is based on thresholds you can tweak at Admin -> NPM Settings page and you will see the applicable ones here
-
This limitation has always existed when storing events in a database, however, we didn’t have a warning message like that in place previously. I will log an item to look at this for a future rev.
-
No, that is not currently supported in Orion. What would you expect to happen. VSphere powers a guest down, would you expect this guest system to have a special state other than down?
-
It must be using non-standard mibs to pull that info and we would need to customize our polling engine to go after the mibs it uses for Palo Altos. So you will need to use UnDP's to gather this info.
-
Can you explain further by what you mean by dies?
-
So with 9.5 we added trending to the graphs, so you can pick a date in the future and based on historical stats we will plot the trend
-
We don't support running on this OS, but no none issues monitoring it though
-
What are you trying to accomplish? Do you just want a backup for DR purposes?
-
Where is Orion deployed? If for example at the hub site just monitor each router at the branch sites and monitor both interfaces.
-
Interested to see feedback, but I know if you just hit escape on that popup dialog you can then login to Orion no problem

Pick any user account and edit the settings. Where is the report folder location specified to be?
