Not sure, I would recommend logging a support case
-
The initial login should be: Username: Admin Password: leave blank What error are you getting trying to login?
-
You posted this in the Web Help Desk forum, I am guessing you meant to post this to the Network Performance Monitor forum?
-
Check your settings in the web under Admin -> NPM Setttings
-
I have seen them deployed both ways, it really depends on how ya'll use the toolset. I would say a typical deployment is Orion is running on the server and the engineers run toolset on their laptop and then can utilize the NPM-Toolset integration.
-
Which tool are we, tool1 or tool2?
-
Have you downloaded and applied a newer version or updated MIB DB recently?
-
This is something that has been brought up before here on thwack and an enhancement we have in the system for a future release
-
We poll the IP via SNMP, not over https. From the Orion server to the controller, is the SNMP port open?
-
Following up on the first item, this appears to be a defect, I will get it filed
-
Are there any analysis rules on the edge slowing things down? We tag our pings with specific text in the ping message, could that be getting more analysis cause it is not a normal windows type ping?
-
Let me look into the first item, but regarding a quick method to look at all the ports set to unplugged here are a couple options. 1 - create a report as you indicated 2 - Look at the Overview page and set filter for interfaces on status
-
Also do you have anti-virus running on the server with real-time file scan enabled? If so, can you exclude the inetpub directory?
-
Can you provide some more details about what you don't like?
-
Not in this resource, but what you could do is create a report with this information and then display that report in your Orion Web Dashboard
-
Let me check into more, how many controllers do you have? So you have no other modules like Netflow?
-
I will log this into our system for consideration for a future rev.
-
Not currently today on the map, this is an open enhancement request. If you could put it on the hover over tooltip, would that be ok?
-
You will probably have to create this, you might look at this to give you a starting point if you need it, see here for Events
-
What are you wanting to backup and do? Are you moving to a new server? There are some docs on this page here that may help Also, we have some native tools we ship in Orion under Advanced to backup some Orion settings
-
Please open a support case and include the diagnostics from the Orion server
-
I believe we list these back as they are given to us by the controller, but will double check. Regardless I will add the request to allow sorting
-
Check out this thread, see if the tables I reference help you out. You will probably need to create an advanced SQL report.
-
Please contact Support to get this
-
We don't have this report OOTB, but we have the data. You can look at some of the report on the content exchange here and you might be able to use one of these as a template to tweak and get what you want.
-
Any chance you can post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
-
What do you mean it does not show up? This feature is within Network Atlas and should show on the taskbar and via right click
-
So can you provide further info on what exactly you did and setup?
-
Can you elaborate and give me some examples of areas? We have hover over in the product in some places today like when you hover over a node or interface.
-
We are looking at doing something like this in the future, but it is not as simple as advanced sql in report writer. Reports run every so often, so if there is bad sql, no huge deal. However, if a user puts bad sql into a advanced alert, that runs on a much more frequent basis, so we need to make sure to put safe guards in…
