Miron, This question would best be suited for your Cisco representative to more appropriately answer.

UnDP's on maps is something we have on our list to add to the product in a future version
-
I believe appendix c in the Orion Admin guide should have them all list, have you seen that?
-
If you go into the Syslog and Trap viewer on the Orion server, in each app you create "alerts" against Syslog and Traps to email you or do other actions
-
Sure can in the advanced alert manager just create a new alert for when status changes to up for those specific interfaces
-
Can the web access view anything besides the live file being built? Can you elaborate, what would you like to see? I have the logs aging after a 24 hour period and when I try to run a filter that has the date corresponding to an aged file it stilll only brings up the current file being logged. The date part of the filter…

Are you using HTTP or HTTPS for access to your Orion server?
-
Ahh good old Junos. Fair point, will get something logged
-
What do you mean by manage, is there something specific you are looking for it to do?
-
Have you tried to do a MIB Walk of the device?
-
Does the device itself in Orion show up as "unknown"?
-
Not sure on this one, I will send over to Dev, but I would also recommend opening a support ticket.
-
Two options 1 - you can multi select the nodes in the web console node management and click edit there and update 2 - you can go to custom property editor and make the changes inline in bulk there too, copy paste works there
-
Are you running the latest SP? If so, I would recommend opening a support ticket on this item to investigate further
-
If you look at the footer of the web page, what Service Pack are you running? We just released SP3 this week.
-
You don't need to delete and re-add them via sonar. Just take the existing list of items you are managing and create a new sonar profile and choose bulk upload and copy and paste that list into there and run the discovery. Then just choose one of the devices to re-import and it will update the topology for those.
-
Have you looked at the web configuration backup and restore utility?
-
Unfortunantly this is a limitation within their SNMP implementation. They do not currently expose RSSI via SNMP.
-
Thanks, I have added you to the feature request

Sorry for the delay in answering. So you cannot add multiple duplicate IP's to NPM without them overriding each other right now. We have an enhancement to allow users to do this open in the system. Can you not give each context an Admin IP like on a Cisco FWSM?
-
Try this - Alert service sometimes need to check the box to interact with desktop. So go to the Windows Services and double click on the SolarWinds Alerting Engine and under Log On tab choose the checkbox to allow this.

wesley.cole, I spoke with Engineering and here are the details. wesley.cole wrote: 1. Will the Syslog buffer store messages that it's unable to transmit to the SQL or will it only store messages it can't process quick enough in it's own database? Because I can't lose any logs so if that's an issue I'll have to build a…

not today that I can think of, however, this may work, see this thread what we are working on in NCM here. Specifically around the NPM/NCM alerting integration. So if we receive some alert on that gateway, you can kick off a script on a device from NCM, aka a trace route.
-
No punching of babies allowed. If you are on the latest version, you can hold down the ctrl and use the arrows to move them or if you want to get really crazy you can go to the edit tab on top of network atlas and in the upper right hand corner you can specify the x and y coordinates.
-
That is what I am leaning to is that SNMP is not enabled. So can you add it as ICMP only to test if that works ok? If yes, do you have toolset and can try a MIBWalk of that device?
-
What version are you currently running on? Also how many sub-maps and sub-element do you have within those maps?
-
Those are system events, different from alerts, so nothing you can do in alerting. I go back to why is the interface reporting speed changes back to Orion constantly?
-
Can you expand, maybe post a screenshot?
-
Let me look into and get back to you.
-
So you are pushing the changes/policies pushed via NCM correct?
