Sorry, knew it was a long shot. In my case NPM showed 0 utilization but when I fired up Engineers Toolkit it would report the correct util. I guess that 64 bit counter in NPM wasn't enabled by default and an OS upgrade on the Nokia FW enabled all that killing the stats.

Sorry I can’t nail down any specific trends because I was handed NPM a year ago with an old version, over half of the devices weren’t responding/setup at all… so about 4 upgrades later and going through the unmanaged node again and again I have finally brought it down to only 4 (out of 451), all for known reasons. I can…

I received a reply from my case to just "admin – web console settings" and alter the refresh for everything. I have just done that, does that work for updating graphs? I guess I will find out in 15/20min! Cam

Fantastic, I will just keep dodging calls from my boss till this.. (just kidding if you read this boss)

Now at the risk of breaking the record for the most questions asked in one thread, are you able to add those Universal Device results into custom reports? If you can I will find a way.. just wondered if you could? Thanks again!

JB, thats pretty cool! Man, look at all the work I have ahead of me! I should be able to figure that out, will let you know when I find it!

Your not alone.. :) I have 148 Windows boxes in my SW and every week without fail I need to go give one a kick. The only advice I can give you is to remove/reinstall patch the ones that are chronic.

I am going to throw my had into this ring as well and say that would be quite usefull! I need to pull both that serial number and service pack through WMI. Could go the external scrip/spread sheet thing. Thanks, Cam

SW devs, please but down two more people requesting this feature.. :)
-
Sadly something similar to this for me turned out be resolved by just turning on the 64 bit counters.. :)

Cool!!! Its still very sad but at least I am on the right track now, thanks again! Doesn't sound like anyone can pull IBM SN's in this manner eh? Thanks again! Have a good weekend everyone.. Broken

I am spending a lot of time staring at the little wheel going around waiting for my maps to show. Is this is same issue? Have not gone so far as to get the timeout error. NPM 9.5 SP1

Hey rmmagow, just had the same question come up for us in 9.5 Did you ever manage to get this resolved? Would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Hey Sedmo, no joy on the ICMP string.. a SW tech had changed that a while ago to troubleshoot another issue so I had high hopes that by changing that it would fix the issue but nothin. I have it set at "1" now with 3000ms response time allowed. Family, I have heard more and more people complaining about that issue. I have…

Oh man, please say it ain't so! I just closed a 3-day service call with SW support about wireless not updating that ended up needing a lot of DB work! May I ask what kind of device is giving you problems? If you set it up as just ICMP and it reports proper up/down status then thats something else I can tell you about.…

Hey Congo, I am doing both the ping test and the snmp walk from the NPM sever just to be sure.. that why it is so confusing why when I setup this node even as ICMP only it retuns a "down" status.. :(

JB, sweet.. thanks that helped me retrieve the info from the HP's I needed. I am now presented with a couple other challenges.. when I assign the custom polling engines values I can't put it in a table.. but only add it as a gauge / chart! Don't need to chart the Model number! :) I figured oh well.. I will not see it in…
-
Thanks, been working on getting these going in our environment.. thanks for defining them all!
-
I could really use those advanced pollers... would you please upload them again? Thanks in advance!

I am sure you have seen this one.. I know it is a feature request but if there is any idea of how far down the list it is, would be cool. More devices are shutting down ICMP these days..
