I think it just did the same for me. Unless I had a blind moment? Did you choose the top one?
-
It worked!!
-
Thats great thank you!

Mine seems to have been reset, the red cross is gone. Do I dare try it again?

marcoswithanoh got it marked correct first time. Just hit the same answer again, thinking something had gone amiss. Now got it wrong! Granted I only selected one answer, but that was right earlier. Hadn't read the comments so did realise there was an issue.

Wrong for me to???

Version 8.101 I could not get to work with or without the MSI uninstalls. I noticed this morning they have released 8.102 and this works fine. The REMOVEOUTOFDATEJRES=1 command works a treat as well. Makes my life so much easier as there is the odd pc which always seems to hold on an odd version of Java so I won't be…
-
Annoyingly whilst REMOVEOUTOFDATEJRES=1 worked on the first couple of PC's I checked that received the update, I'm now finding most of them haven't uninstalled the old versions. It's strange why it's worked on some and not others.

Sorry for not replying sooner. The way I do it is: Within patch manager, find a computer which you know has the software installed. Double click on the computer, to bring up the computer explorer. Then click on the installed software tab. Highlight the software you want to remove and click uninstall Software. The software…

I deleted and re-synchronised as suggested, but still no joy. I did also wonder if adding an msi uninstall to get rid of the previous version could be anything to do with it. So on the second attempt I didn't make any changes, but it still thinks version 101 in installed. If you look in programs it is only listing version…
-
Are they suggesting to use an older version like 8.91 and uploading the 8.101 file to it?
-
I'm pushing out the Java 8u121 upgrade and experienced the same issue. I have tried the steps above and am still getting the issue with Java wanting to reinstall itself, even though the update was successful.
-
Not in the end. I ended up just pushing out the full version rather than the upgrade. I then just created a scheduled task to delete the previous version.
-
So far I have tried the 'x64 upgrade' and 'x86 for x64 upgrade' both with the same results. The new version installs but the old one remains. I did double check the msi number but they are correct. We are running version 2.1.3.4028.
-
Has anyone pushed out the latest Java install yet? It's great the msi uninstall is now included as part of the package, as I was adding that manually every time. However on my test machines it hasn't actually uninstalled anything. That includes my machine where I have local admin rights, let alone standard users. I was…

Sorry, I also noticed I put Chrome on the end, but I did mean Google Earth. This might be why the version numbers make no sense. We are using Patch Manager, to push out third party patches. Google Earth is listed as an option, and we have set it to sync, but I've had no updates since 7.1.2. Looking on the forum that was…
-
Was this something you ever sorted? I'm would like to push out Version 7.3, but it isn't available, 7.1.2 is the last update I've synced for Chrome.

I've received the Adobe Flash update last night. However, and I know this isn't an Solarwinds issue, when I try and download the MSI from Adobe's distribution link it just loops and refreshes the page rather than downloading. Is anyone else experiencing this?
-
I do have the patch you are looking for, but had to manually add the catolog to get it. If you follow this guide: Manually add the Adobe DC Catalogs to the synchronization settings - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support The catolog path I used is:…

Will the newer versions of Java (ie v9 and v10) be made available via Patch Manager? With Java's announcement that from Jan 2019 updates for v8 will require a corporate licence, i guess we are going to look at updating to the latest version.
-
Now I'm ticking the correct boxes it works fine! Thank you everyone for the help!
-
I hadn't realized the uninstall commands weren't enabled already. I just saw them there and assumed they would work. I'll give it another try tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
-
I now have the 8.101 update available, however when I publish it, all my computers are saying they already have the software installed. Therefore they won't install the update. Is anyone else having this issue?
-
When using the new the Java upgrade packages (mine downloaded 24/1/18), the install is completing correctly.
-
I've just finished pushing it out to users, so I guess it should be available to you too?
-
I was getting the same issues as well. Following: Unable to import files using Patch Manager Package Assistant - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support enables you to work around it and publish update 22.0.0.210.
