Support told me the table is used by Netflow module. Unfortunately I attempted to install the netflow module the week prior and had to back out. So basically netflow isn't even running and this table is growing....I also have netflow module on my test box and this table is tiny...so not sure what is going on. Will let…

This is old post but I am running into same issue with the DEK-info section of the fortinet and can't figure out the regex to make the multiple line match work. The provided "correct answer" doesn't work and it is causing this backup to flag as changed every time I perform my scheduled backup job. Any help would be great.

Case 115943 was opened. He is sending me scripts to clean it up but he thought this issue was resolved in SP3 for 9.5 but he instructed me to go to SP4 after running the scripts.

When I went from 9 to 9.1 I also have the Traps page take over 30 seconds to load every time no matter what. Support had me clear the varbinds and all my trap tables..same result and was never fixed. Now I just upgraded to 9.5 and now Events web page is doing same thing. I am wondering if the developers could review this…

Again...I completely agree...what I am saying is that I know that the Netflow engine can go on an additional web engine license...why can't that same idea be applied to Hot-Standby since it is my backup web engine. I do not want to send netflow data to the box...I just need it to be on the webpage so my other additional…
-
I agree it shouldn't be a collector but I feel it should be treated like an additional web engine and allow the install to update just the webpage resources in case of failover so I don't lose access to Netflow data.

Has anyone got this working...collecting CBQoS via UnDP and not purchasing the Netflow Module? It looks like the mibs supplied in this post are polling the node..shouldn't they poll the interface where CBQoS is applied? Any help appreciated...not sure how you can link these seperate tables together..the indexes aren't…

We do HP SIM as well but forward those traps via Openview trap intercept from the HP sim server to the Openview Operations server, not Orion....sorry not a help on that front.

Thanks for the reply. I figured that was the mechanism and the problem area. Does UDT first try to tie the learned IP address from the event log to a MAC learned from the switch arp/mac table polling or does it use DNS as well? Either way I think for dynamic environments UDT information isn't very accurate unfortunately.…

Thanks for your reply but that is what I have as well unfortunately as a watch a session trace the config template will run until the normal cisco prompt disappears (after entering banner motd or login line). Once the normal prompt disappears the config template stops running so all the message lines aren't entered and it…

Thanks Denny. Look forward to it.

I called into support and opened case #99226. Support stated this is a known problem but he wasnt aware if the fix would be included in SP1. He had me open the reports that had issues in Report Writer and attempt a Save. When I tried to save it errored that a particular field was missing..so I added that field "NodeID" for…

Thanks for the meeting. As we discussed I think the main problems with integration of platforms stems from the lack of granular Administrative control over the various platforms. If I have someone as an Admin of NPM, they inherently are admins of NCM. Sure I can remove the tab from their view but they can simply add it…

Thanks everyone for the feedback...always appreciated!

It appears that is not the case in my example. I am polling an F5 for pool member status/stats. The mibs I am polling are: Pool Name: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.1.1.8.2.1.1 Pool Member IP Address: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.1.1.8.2.1.2 Pool Max connections: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.1.1.8.2.1.18 Pool Current connections: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.1.1.8.2.1.19…

Thanks. I will test this out and see if it works.
-
We tend to prefer statically setting the poller for one main reason. If you are a global company and have pollers spread across the globe, if nodes are constantly moving around from poller to poller, response time metrics will be thrown off. For instance if I have a poller in Maryland and a poller in Singapore I want to…

Thanks for the update Denny

Hey Tim....Case #64211 opened.
-
Thanks Andy...I will work with support on this. I had done an eval of NTA a while back and that must be causing the issue.
-
Looks like your custom poller service may need restarting since it stopped collecting. I guess I never noticed that the unit field only shows up in my graphs as well. When placed in a table it doesn't show up. I wonder if this is a limitation in the UnDP Tabular resource
-
The Tabular UnDP resource only allows you to select UnDP that are of Table type. The values I am refering to are simple snmpgets. Even though the mib is not in table form..should I change the method of retrieval from a get to a get table in order to use this web resource?

Can someone take a look at case 93402? The issue is ongoing. Typically when this happens to me I see that the poller if left alone will slowly grow in Memory usage on the NPM process as if a memory leak.
-
If I remove the physical it removes the Layer2 polling in UDT. If I removed the Unit ports (.0 typically) it removes the layer3 polling from what I have seen when I look at the UDT scheduled jobs. Once I removed the physicals which was my first step I lost layer2 polling.

I am having same issue with BusinessLayerHost.exe going up to 1.6G of memory util. Opened case 102994 and support provided me with "hotfix" to replace two map web files that cause memory leaks. Once the hotfix files were in place and IIS restarted my maps would cease to load and would get an error…

It appears if I completely remove the line for Startup, it finally stops attempting to backup startup config.
-
Even after changing the config template for Extreme devices to Null the Startup command name, my extreme switch still shows that it supports startup and running configs. When I pull configs I now get syntax error when pulling startup as the output. I tried removing then reapplying the Extreme template and that didnt fix it…

Thanks for the quick reply Chris!

That is some good info Donald. We run a couple Gig links (one hums along at 600mbps 24x7), probably 6 or more 100Mb links, and the rest are usually in ds-3 range. A few T1s are left for backup internet links, etc. I guess I will need to do another trial and see if it was my server hardware/db that was problem or if the new…

So is CBQoS tied into NPM where if an interface on a device in NPM is running CBQoS it will start collecting if you have the NTA module installed? Today we probably have about 50 or so interfaces that are running CBQoS. That number may go up once we migrate off of internet/vpn solutions back to a MPLS WAN. Back and forth…
