I was informed that this feature will be available in 10.4. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/183944#183944

just an FYI to those who do monitor Ruckus. SW is going to pull wireless data off of your zone director. If you manage the individual aps it will pull data off of there as well. This can cause quite a burden on your database if it is not big enough. Especially with zone directors that control 500+ aps. there is no known…

Can anybody further define what the "breaking point" is for a single Orion instance. Currently I monitor around 30,000 elements across 4 polling engines. (Primary and 3 additional pollers.) After an upgrade to 10.4 we are experiencing major performance issues. I have been working with Solarwinds and they are now telling me…

I agree Ruckus is gaining more and more of the market share every day, and it would be nice to be able to pull information from their devices just like Cisco devices.

Thanks for the info. What I'm really trying to decide is if its worth it to monitor mitel systems what kinds of stuff can we monitor on them? Monitoring for up down status does not seem to be very effective because users of a phone system know its down before solarwinds can send an alert.

They are blaming our performacne issues on a disk I/O issues caused by transactions pending in SQL. We did not have these issues when we were running 10.3, but we did not have these issues in 10.3 or other earlier versions. They claim to think its because of all the hardware health monitoring on the cisco and wireless…

Thanks for the help Matthew. It ended up being an issue with a custom report set up by one of our clients. As soon as we disabled that report our performance improved greatly, so it looks like I wont need to go down that road of disabling hardware health monitoring.

Did you have any luck we have a few mitel systems and I'm trying to see what all we can monitor them for.

I currently help maintain a system with 4 polling engines and we are around 30k elements (and growing). There are some hurdles especially since we upgraded from 10.4, but for the most part the system runs smoothly. The licensing for each additional polling engine is a little expensive. Like other said as long as you have a…
