I definitely agree it would be very beneficial if we could map out the topology automatically using CDP.

@"dunky2k" How long was the upgrade process for your primary poller once you got everything sorted out?
-
I recently ordered the hoodie and never got any buttons.
-
@"wkwittke" How long did it take for your upgrade to go through? I'd like to schedule my 2019.4 version upgrade but I ended up spending a few hours last time going to 2019.4. Thanks.

The Thwack Blanket, or as I've unofficially taken to calling it with my coworker, the Swuggie. I've been eyeing getting an Apple Watch but I've really not been sure how good the battery is. It's just another thing I need to keep charged.
-
It's good to be back.
-
This sounds like it'll be very down and dirty and to the point. I like it.
-
Yep, same issue.
-
Imagine how silly it'd be to have the Infinity Gauntlet on your desk. With a snap of my fingers half of all tickets are gone.
-
Looks great, seems like there's a lot of utility and promise here.
-
100% think this needs to be implemented. This would make building dependencies so much easier.
-
My horror story was I was comparing a config between two devices manually, I had them on split screen since I only had one monitor at the time since I was an Intern. I finished building the config for a router on my desk, slammed through the reload commands to watch the remote device 3 states away reload. Thankfully it…

Hint should be changed, i got tripped up by the HINT Is in the first minute. Definitely took more than one minute before you got the correct answer.
-
Totally agree that there should be some form of Recycle Bin, accidents happen so it would be nice to have some sort of safety blanket.
-
If possible, I'd like to see a graphic comparing the current level of support with Professional as well. It'd be much easier to show this to upper-level management to get them onboard with getting higher-level support via a glance as they're busy and want the cut and dry of what we need.
-
Bump, this feature is in tools way older than Solarwinds. It'd be really nice to see this feature be added.
-
100% agree, I've been working on dependencies lately and I'm trying to clean up "incorrect" dependencies from the auto dependencies because to map it manually would take a lifetime with the size of our environment.
-
Even though I got the question right today, my coworker had an issue with it and I felt it was unfair. I only got it because he got it wrong in the morning and warned me it was a trick question. I feel like these "trick questions" even if not intentional do not benefit especially considering the amount of people here who…

I love diversifying my places I learn from. I have books, video series, I dive into lab software when I'm actively hunting down something to learn. Honestly though, my favorite way of learning so far has been through the problems I've encountered at work. It's given me more troubleshooting skills which apply to anything.
-
Yeah that was just cheap, I get that we should have read a little better. But that's unfortunate overall.
-
Loving the new website so far.
-
Great looks, will make things very clean and easy to understand going forward.
-
I figured since the tool (without naming it, to avoid giving away the answer) was owned by Solarwinds, it would offer integration. That's what tripped me up.
-
Definitely need to be added soon, we're purchasing some new equipment and it would be good to have support for the newer Cisco stuff.
-
I'm also having this issue too.
-
Same here, it is quite annoying that this was put on without any documentation of how to disable it easily.
-
Our problem is that we would like if it could automatically build dependencies without having to statically assign parent and children as we have switches that daisy-chain off other switches so we'd need to define that properly.
-
Yeah some kind of solution to this issue would be great, it's very frustrating not getting accurate alerting on APs solely because they switched WLCs and it won't clear the alert.
-
It would be nice if the dependencies would work a bit better with redundant hardware in mind.
