I can't believe this isn't one of the highest voted requests. It's completely inconceivable that clients are put into an "approval waiting" status without having any idea of where the holdup is.

Is there a way to use BBCode to link to a file location on our corporate network? In Outlook, I can link to a file as follows: file:///\\COMPANYNAME.com\public\Policies\IT\ In WHD, this doesn't work. I have tried various methods and formats. I have also tried using [url][/url] wrapper. Thanks

if there's a way to do what you suggest, please enlighten us. I can't figure out any way to let clients know where the approval is being held up.
-
this is an overall problem for WHD - everything seems a little too rigid. Make everything more flexible.
-
I agree -- on demand (or even just simpler approval mechanics) is a huge priority for me. Setting up approvals is just too cumbersome in WHD
-
the current email subject lines are awful for approvers who do not live in the WHD system all day. You get hundreds of emails that look identical with no real good way to sort/identify any one ticket from any other. Most people don't remember issues by "ticket number" - They recognize tickets by descriptions/subject

sounds nice Apolloc but this is not possible in this system. Please don't post "solutions" unless you've confirmed that they work. There is no way in WHD to my knowledge to populate a field when an approval process is run. Nor is there a way to populate a custom field with a variable like Approver Name
-
this also happens to multiple techs accessing WHD via different browers (we've tried both IE and Chrome with the same results)

Is there any documentation anywhere for updating the CustomLabels.properties file? I have a custom field that I'd like to integrate into my ticket emails, so my email subject line would look like: Subject: HelpDesk: CUSTOM FIELD 1 [Ticket Closed] Subject: HelpDesk: CUSTOM FIELD 1 [Ticket Updated] etc.

As stated above, this has nothing to do with browser version. Some of us are on Win 7, some on Win 10. We've all tried various browsers (latest versions of IE and Chrome). Same problem with Chrome Canary. It's not all attachments - only some. Possibly those attached to emailed ticket updates but I can't be certain. All of…

It does not clear up the issue. I can open some word doc attachments but not others. Even within the same ticket, yet the documents are all formatted the same way.
-
thanks. I'm finding this system incredibly inflexible.
-
there are so many obvious gaps in functionality.

thanks. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that will work very well. I'm using this for a legal department help desk. Here's the scenario: Client requests that I draft a new contract. Contracts are the same but they might include different products. My ticket request says: Question, does the contract include X, Y, or Z My…
