Wishing the prizes could be awarded at the end of the week but the mission points could still be earned until the end of the month.

You can get kinda close with this report, it will show who is logged in today. You can adjust the times as needed.

Here is one I use on the Down Nodes resource. It hides nodes that contain D0 as well as T and a number Caption Not Like '*t0*' AND Caption Not Like '*d0*' AND Caption Not Like '*t1*' AND Caption Not Like '*t2*' AND Caption Not Like '*t3*' AND Caption Not Like '*t4*' AND Caption Not Like '*t5*' AND Caption Not Like '*t6*'…

Today's question, I'm stumped.

I would go with Leon Adato and keep it as basic as possible. I tried using links on some Microsoft products before and the GUIDS within the URL would change and render my link abandoned. To solve that I just added an 'Instructions' directory to my Orion server's IIS tree and placed my instructions in there. Then in the…

One problem I often see is automation without documentation. Then the person moves on and you spend more time reverse engineering the previous automation than you saved using it. Also you can only automate items that are within your realm of control.

While not a perfect solution we are using a Chrome Extension called Revolver Tabs for our big screens up on the walls. It just cycles through all of the tabs that are open on the browser. You do need to resize the Netpath screens if the machine gets rebooted, but it did get around a lot of the limitations that you have…

We do a 10 minute 'standup meeting' every morning to keep everyone in sync. It's not just my immediate team but the whole infrastructure department. We quickly cover any open issues or large changes being done that day. Not a whole lot of questions and answers, just whats in the ticket queue and change management system…

It's hard to tell these days, I have seen alot of the new chip readers legitimately installed right over where the old swipe reader was and they did a pretty ugly job at it. You never know.

Thanks for the write up! I still carry paper maps and an old school compass with me. If you go an hour north of where I live cell reception is sketchy and most of the year GPS doesn't always work through the trees.

I would make a stealth kegerator out of it.

Thanks this was a lot of fun!

My team would love this feature. I would even bump up our license for this.

Ran my Orion DB server for years on a physical SQL server with no problems. Was forced to go to a VM a few years ago and its been a headache ever since. Hoping to go back to a physical server again soon. It's not just the issue of physical -vs- virtual, its also the access rights. When running it on a physical SQL server I…

I would love to see a SWUG in Lansing Michigan at some point in the future. It's midway between Detroit and Grand Rapids. I think it would draw from both sides of the state.

The Internet of Trash: IoT Has a Looming E-Waste Problem The reason I haven't installed any home automation products. While I can hope my garage door might last 20+ years, the fancy electronics to open and close it may be obsolete in 3-5.

This would be helpful. I unmanaged a bunch of mine at the node level but expect I will have to do that each time I upgrade.

Thanks for the write up.

2 million per hour was about the breaking point on mine. It depends on if you are logging them to Disk or not.
