Then they can use a secured VPN from the guest side over to the secured side if needed.

"Voice Phishing Scams Are Getting More Clever" I though I had the telemarketers off of my phone for a little while but they are back. Now they are always have a number from a local area code so I was more inclined to answer it, not so much any more. I'm to the point of I will only answer calls from my contacts. Otherwise…

You house your data in a pyramid that draws power from an ancient secret power source

It looks like it may have been thought of at one time but not put in the product. There is a table that may be for that purpose.

Thanks for the write up. That's an easy choice, run over the politician.

"One place I worked gave users a stipend to spend on their equipement " That's actually a genius idea with the proper security measures in place. Especially when you are supporting tens of thousands of devices. Could save lots of money.

I have been pretty happy with what metrics Solarwinds collects out of the box for a lot of the most common devices/platforms/applications. The one thing I'm still trying to get a handle on is logging as no one can agree on what to log, and how long to store the info internally at my company.

A job I did was as a teenager was a cook at a university food service. It didn't pay much at the time but the skills I learned at that job have been paying me back my entire life.

Great write up! My latest upgrade to 2020.2.1 also involved many steps and some assistance from support but in the end it was a success. The Web upgrade worked great on the main poller but I did need to do the APE's manually and fiddle with the database between each one but now it is complete. I had some issues specific to…

Thanks for the links! We had some fire restrictions in my state, I think they may have been lifted now though.

I hope I get to take my Thwack points along with me

"it is important that you choose a systems monitoring tool that works best for your organization and delivers the metrics that are crucial to its success" I have used quite a few of the monitoring tools available and have found the Solarwinds suite quite capable and very enjoyable to use.

Walmart says its new robots will make human employees happier One of my local stores now lets you bring in your own bags and scan your own stuff with your phone. They spot check a few items from it looks like about 1 out of 4 carts on your way out. One more step with automating the cashiers. Same thing going on with fast…

This would be really handy for our NOC's display. We could include the instructions or link to instructions for the alert.

Yea, I ruined my co-workers dashboards a couple of times doing this.
