Haven't seen this as an upgrade issue, suggest you file a support ticket. Please post the ticket id here too so I can track it.

Yes, you can change the quantities by deactivating the license and the activating with the new quantity. Ex: I have a 1000 node license, I activate 500 nodes on HCO server A and 300 nodes on HCO server B, leaving 200 in reserve. 6 months later, I need more nodes on HCO server B, I deactivate the 300 node license and…

Note that 2023.1 is GA now and has addressed many of these issues, I would suggest you check out the SolarWinds Platform 2023.1 Release Notes.
-
Yes, this is one of the advantages of the HCO license, we call it flexible licensing. This is an HCO only feature. EOC is included in the Enterprise Scale edition, but is a separate purchase for the Standard edition.

The anomaly based alerts is available to HCO Advanced customers without additional charge. You do it enable it through platform connect feature, but in 2023.1 you can now just stream the metrics for the anomaly based alerts. See this post for more info: SolarWinds Platform and Products—Version 2023.1 Is Now Generally…

Can you share the ticket number on the inability to upgrade your poller? Note the previous error you saw about inserting NULL into column "id" was fixed in the GA release of 2023.1 (GA now).
-
Apologies, I didn't see it and can't find it now. Can you post you ticket here - want to track this down.

Can you post your ticket number here?

Although 2023.1 is currently an RC, for some customers it may appear as a GA in the product catalog and inside the product on the Updates page. You’re welcome to upgrade from the Updates page, but you are upgrading to the RC version of 2023.1. The GA version is planned for release in a few weeks. If you upgraded to 2023.1…

Take a look at this SCM out of the box profiles to see some of the things you can do natively, including hardware. You can configure SCM to monitor additional files or issue commands and monitor the output over time.

Have you created a support ticket and uploaded your diagnostic file? If so, please share the ticket number.

Hi. With the new SolarWinds Platform (2022.3 and later), all the products are installed and you can turn them on via the Instant Evaluation feature on the License Manager Page. This blog shows you how to evaluate HCO, but your try modules as well. Let me know if you have followup questions. Brian

Hi - took a quick look at your case, looks like it is solved?
-
Yes, you can upgrade from 2020.2.6 and upgrade to 2022.4.1, so download the bits from the customer portal and upgrade. Please read both your product release notes as well as the SolarWinds Platform release notes for advice on upgrades. Note: Given our quarterly cadence, a Release Candidate for 2023.1 will be coming out…

If you followed the steps recommended by support, go ahead and upload a diagnostic bundle so they can review.

Was your case resolved? If not, can you share the case number here?

You can also evaluate it for 30 days...

The licensing limits did not change when moving from the Orion Platform to the SolarWinds Platform. If you are still running your module licenses, you shouldn't see a change in behavior. If you moved to HCO, it would be a multiple of your nodes. I agree with Kevin, open a support case.
-
Yes, you can upgrade from 2020.2.x directly to 2022.4. As Kevin suggested, read the release notes thoroughly before upgrading.

This is more about migrating your entire LA database to another one.
-
The table is OrionLog_RuleProcessingDefinitions in the Log database. Follow the standard SQL Server procedures to restore a single table (we don't provide this).
-
Thanks for your patience on this one. Chatting with engineering, this problem has been fixed in 2022.4. Solutions for you: Revert to 2020.2.6 and rerun the upgrade using 2022.4, with the services on additional pollers off. Or try this: * Turn services off on all servers, including main * Restore only the table containing…
-
Follow the steps above and run the report - do you see rules that were not migrated? If you were already using OLV, you should not have lost any rules. Note that if you were using custom SQL to build alerts, those will not work when you move from legacy syslog and traps to Log Viewer or Log Analyzer. You would need to…

Log Analyzer 2022.4, a separate product from SAM, adds Linux log monitoring functionality. If you have a current SAM customer (or own any other module), you can upgrade to 2022.4, then use the Instant Evaluation feature to try out Log Analyzer for 30 days.

Before rolling back - can you share the ticket number?

SRM and WPM remain separate licenses. Yes, standard edition (Essentials or Advanced) includes the SolarWinds Platform Remote Collector (fka ORC) to enhance reachability in distributed environments. Enterprise Scale edition includes APE, HA, AWS and EOC.
-
Download the 2022.3 or 2022.4 offline installer from the customer portal and upgrade your MPE first, then you can upgrade other components via the GUI just like normal. Some customers don't see the new versions in Updates and Evaluations, so this is the easiest workaround.
-
The Orion platform has evolved into the SolarWinds Platform. All the classic modules, bundles and the new HCO run on the SolarWinds Platform. All products are installed and functionality is controlled by licensing. If you own modules like NPM, NTA, SAM - you can upgrade to 2022.3 or 2022.4, same for NAM, EOC and HCO.
-
Hi. I'll respond to a few items here, and pass your feedback on to others. #3: All products are installed in the new SolarWinds platform and controlled by licensing. A new feature on the license manager page, called instant evaluation, allows you to try new products by turning them on with simply a click - no downloads,…

Hi. I haven't seen this reported as a trending issue, if it is still happening in your environment, please open a ticket if you have not already.
