Sam If you install an agent on the physical server you want to monitor, it asks for the IP of the server during the install. Once the install is complete and the agents starts, it will self register and self configure with the Storage Manager Server. Once your agents are installed, you can choose any of them to monitor…

NPM mainly gives you health and status information of the VM and hosts, but not deep insight into the configuration, performance or contention within the virtual infrastructure (VMware and HyperV). Virtualization Manager also has features like Capacity Planning, Time Travel, Object DNA, Chargeback, Cloud Cost Calculator…

The integration between Virtualization and Storage Manager allows you to drill from an object in VMan (Cluster, ESX, VM, Datastore) to the Target View in STM, where a target could be a LUN or NFS share. The Target View shows you all the information about the LUN/NFS Share and what Raid Group/Pool/Aggragate it is residing…

If you are still having the issue, I would suggest you contact support. Brian

In addition, you will need a new license key that you can get from your portal. Please make sure you have a license key before you upgrade. Brian
-
Not quite following you - can you post a screen shot?
-
Hi I believe this is possible in newer versions. Maybe C:\ is one datastore, D:\ on a different one? Brian

It is percentage of heartbeats received from guest (vm tools) to host. Brian

Hi, all users who are monitoring the HP P4000 Lefthand series have this issue. We have it on our roadmap, but there is no delivery timetable at this time.
-
Are these 2GB drives? If so, you will need to upgrade to the latest HDvM to handle them correctly. Brian
-
mgerdin In general, STM should not care what kind of drives are there, so we need a little bit more information. Can you tell me the version of Device Manager and the AMS device model? Also, I would like to capture a sample output from your provider - I will email you offline with the instructions. Brian

There were no changes to V5 that would change the behavior of your alerts. If you continue to see this issue, go ahead and open a ticket: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/serviceticket.aspx
-
No requirement to keep the names at the default. Recommend you open a support ticket.

Hi. Take a look at this alert on the exchange: Custom Alert - Long Running Queries .

Please open a support case as Urgent. http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/serviceticket.aspx

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
-
Hi It is not possible at this time, but improving charting options on reports is a high priority for us. Brian

Sorry, we do not support the Infotrend EonStor directly. If the array supports shares via CIFS or NFS, you can treat it as a generic NAS device and do file anlaysis on those shares. Brian
-
John, There is no way to do this in Profiler, but it is a great idea. I will add it to the list. Brian
-
Do you mean the HP EVA? If not, please point me to the array to review. Brian

Hi. Possible reason might be that location of file to modify was changed, now it is <install dir>:\SolarWinds\ipMonitor\internal\js\v1\si_webr.js. Also, make sure you hard reload page (F5 or the reload button).
-
Also, if you have the DPA Integration module installed, you can go back as far as you have daily data in Perfstack.
-
When you installed the agent, did you put in the IP address of the Profiler Server? If so, did the agent start and is running? Do you have any firewalls between the agent and server? Would other applications listening on port 162? Profiler communicates in two ways: * Agent > Server: SNMP trap (server listens on 162 by…

When you drill down on a query hash and see the Query Performance Analysis (QPA) screen, executions (and wait time per execution) is the first line chart you'll see.
-
If you encounter this issue, please follow these instructions to upgrade DPA and Orion. This won't be an issue in future upgrades.
-
Could you post a little more detail in what you are trying to do. * Are these server drives, remote shares (CIFS/NFS) or local shares? * What report are you running where you can't select the drives? * Have you tried a custom report with a filter for the drive(s) you are looking for? Brian
-
When you say "testing with" do you mean you have DPAIM integrated with 12.1 and 11.0? Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
-
Hi, Take at look at our SMI-S document - it will guide you thru the installation and troubleshooting of the HP EVA SMI-S provider. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/profiler/docs/SMISProvider.pdf If that does not help, please contact support for more help. If you do contact support for this issue, please post back…
