Hi, We don't get port performance data for AMS, however you can monitor your FC switches in Storage Manager and see port performance from that perspective. Brian

Hi, We don't support v3 on cisco at this time. By default MDS switches are set to use V3. You have to go to the command line and set a community string so that v1 v2c works. Brian

Hi Aman, Orion does not have native support of HBA, but Solarwinds has acquired a new application that can monitor HBA and Storage Arrays, and show you end to end mapping. Check out Profiler at http://www.tek-tools.com. It is very easy to install and configure, just like Orion. Cheers, Brian

if you have DPA, it can monitor and alert on Availability Groups for both failover and status change. Ron, we do collect information on qtree data on the N-series (NetApp), but not for vfilers at this time. It is on the roadmap, but not scheduled for a release at this time. Thanks for the feature request. Brian

We generally recommend a separate server, as it has its own Database (MySQL) and core services. A VM is generally fine - 2 processors and 4GB of memory will generally do for small to medium environments. Let me know if you have more questions. Brian

Sam, Thanks for the feedback on Solaris and Commvault. On deploying the agent to VM, what are you trying to do? You should be able to get storage and performance for all VM remotely, and do file analysis on Windows VM remotely. Brian

Greg - if you are evaluating DPA, are you working with Sales? If not, I can connect you and get a sales engineer to take a look. In general, mapping DB in DPA to DB in Orion happens automatically. Are you monitoring those DB in DPA?
