What version of vCenter and ESX are you running? In our lab environment with 4.x, Windows 2008 is showing up just fine.
-
Yes, you have to rerun the scan. Brian
-
Sounds like a solid plan, let us know how Linux goes.
-
No, we don't support concurrent authentication mechanisms. You can add it to the Storage Manager Features Request and other folks can vote on it. Brian

Go to install/webapps/ROOT/bin In the server.properities file, add the line showQueryInReportSource = true Restart the webserver. Let me know if that doesn't work. See KB for more info: http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/2392/Hiding+Profiler+report+queries+from+displaying+in+the+HTML+source+code.

Hi, This is high on our priority list for a future release. I understand this is frustrating but there is no way to do this at this time. Happy to jump on a call and discuss with you further. Brian
-
It is on our roadmap as a high priority, will update the What we are working on post as soon as I can tell you more. If you want to be a beta or RC tester, please let me know. Brian

I chatted with lchance a couple of weeks ago, I think we are good to go. Brian

Ok, go ahead and open a support ticket: Submit a Ticket | SolarWinds Customer Portal
-
Yes, you can download agents from the website (if you are evaluating) or your portal (if you have purchased). Agents are installed on OS (window, linux, unix) and then can be leverage to poll other devices and applications. If you look on page 18 of the installation guide, it will tell you how to install the agents.…

Actually, you can install the integration module with ANY Orion based product that includes the Orion platform version 2017. For example, if you just owned SRM 6.4, you could install the DPA Integration Module on the same server. The integration module is available in the Customer Portal. Also note, the integration module…

Have you tried SolarWinds Storage Manager, it has deep support for NetApp and other arrays, including alerting. Brian
-
We don't have integration of external AD/LDAP servers to the SolarWinds customer portal. Each user will need their own login for the customer portal.
-
Harry, How many arrays are you monitoring with the provider? What type of arrays are they (VNX, VMAX, etc.)? How many disks total are you monitoring? Is the provider on Linux or Windows? Just want to see what kind of load you are putting on the provider. I would try what Milton suggested - uninstall the current provider…

Hi File Analysis depends on share, directory and file level permissions. An agent will try to connect to the shares and then get the file meta data, if it can't access the shares or the files, it will not work. You must run the agent as user that has access to the shares or files. You can test this by logging into the…

Profiler will monitor and alert on both datastore and virtual disk usage, so it covers both the virtual infrastructure and the VM. We had a customer recently that changed their snapshot policy and started to rapidly run out of datastore space. Profiler started sending alerts and helped avert a disaster.

Do you just want to be notified when something fails, or do you need other information as well (size, duration, etc.)?
-
Its on the radar, just not on the next release list - yet. Stay tuned. Brian
-
Is there a certain feature you are looking for in a later VM version?
-
This is on our roadmap, but not scheduled for a release yet. If you have time, would definitely like to have a chat about your needs and the direction of the product. Thanks Brian (Product Manager)

Deadlock support what released in DPA 10.2, check out this post DPA 10.2 Now Available - Root Blockers, Idle Blockers and Deadlocks to see how to access deadlock data.
-
You might be having an issue with the stats poll, I suggest you start a support ticket and upload your logs.
-
Did you get the issue resolved?

It's under the Storage IO tab. Drill into an hour, then you will see the latency comparison option. Here is a link to our online demo for an Oracle database: http://database.demo.solarwinds.com/iwc/storageIo.iwc?repo_id=1&db_id=1011&day=Jul+26!991532581200000&time=-1&dType=0&dI…

Sam, There is only one collector on the Storage Manager server that inserts data into the database. You should definitely put a lot of resources to server, I would suggest 4 processors, 12-16GB of RAM and 64bit server. STM 5.1 that will be released in November has some scalability improvements that will help as well. Any…
-
Yes, Storage Manager can monitor NetApp 8.1 in 7-mode. Did you give it a try? Brian
-
We you able to adjust your configuration to improve performance? Brian
-
Thanks for the information - we will take a look and get back to you. Brian
-
Ok, so you want to take an entire profile and run a report that just shows all the changes (before and after) that occured for all elements, with color coding?
-
Good to hear, thanks for the quick update.
