Seems like SolarWinds should be ACTIVELY seeking technologies to support, rather than waiting to hear people complain about it, then try to rush to add them. I know Cisco is a new brand and all... but I think they will be around for a little while. IMHO, SolarWinds should support anything and everything in Cisco's arsenal…

I've created this widget, but it still isn't picking up on my scheduled maintenance windows.

Amen, amen, AMEN! The only other place to find the serial numbers is in the Hardware Info table and items only get in there if they are monitored via SNMP or an agent. All of my ICMP stuff doesn't get the serial numbers stored anywhere. It would be nice if SolarWinds would help us with maintaining asset inventory. We had…

TERRIBLE question today!

I hear you, but doesn't SolarWinds do that enough already? Push work off on to the community I mean. Can't say that I have ever paid so much for a software solution that requires me to put in so much time and effort. Just my two cents.

Bump. This really needs to be a thing

DOH! I should have stopped and read the comments here first. I got Q19 correct, but no points added. Very sad now.

We prep most of the year to ensure we have enough bandwidth at each data center. We use SolarWInds to monitor all of the appropriate interfaces and their bandwidth.

Had the question been posed differently to drive some deeper inspection, it would have been a better learning experience than, "HA, HA! We tricked you!" The question could have been, "How many OTHER servers is this server replicating with?", or even could have just said, "...Look closely". I took the to be a literal count…

Why doesn't SolarWinds treat the FEXs as devices in and of themselves? I mean, they are individual chassis devices, with their own serial numbers, and probably even asset tags for your environment. They have their own power supplies, fans, and all the little ports on the front. I know it's probably difficult for SolarWinds…

I COMPLETELY agree!

Time to BUMP this one! This should be a thing for sure.

It's a bummer when someone asks for information with a promise of something in return and they don't hold up their end of the bargain. I'm glad you have a place other than reddit to troll there rmullal

Soooooo.... How do we save a PerfStack associated with an alert? Not finding documentation on this just yet.

BUMP Wake up everyone! This affects YOU as well. Better SolarWinds performance is at hand. If they share just a few tables, we would have less polling required across components, and the DB would perform faster. How this isn't already a thing is nobody's guess. Let's vote to get this done. (Unless your SolarWinds…

OpsGenie can integrate with SolarWinds and will page the on call people.

I started out as a kid simply wanting to play games on my computer. It seemed like every other week a newer, fast video card, dial-up modem, or other peripheral came out and I had to have it. Initially, when I would need to upgrade something, I would have to break down my entire rig, drive it to a shop where I knew a guy…

This sounds awesome. This should be a thing!

Well. poo. I did the survey like the day it came out, but never posted in HERE that I did it. Hopefully there are other mechanisims in the background to know who did the survey and when other than posts.

What about my Palo Altos? And other gear? I'm looking for the ability to do keep in inventory of my network gear (and servers if possible) to help with inventory management. I have to have a separate system to do that.

Tomorrows question will involve us having to decompile a component of SCM and find a sequence of code somewhere hidden inside.

The whole month with all correct answers... then the big RED X! UGH

Pretty much every other page I go to I get this... Request Entity Too Large The requested resource blah, blah, blah... does not allow request data with GET requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit. And it wouldn't let me post the screenshot I had of this either.

Is this thing on? <tap>, <tap>, <tap> Hello?

I would LOVE to have the DB schema. I run so many various reports directly from the DB and knowing where everything resides would be a major help. Not sure if anyone has noticed how inefficient the DB really is though. Each component seems to operate in a vacuum, not working with other modules. We have components that…

Which 3rd part apps are you looking to integrate with? Each app will be slightly different.
