Yeah, I'm looking for the same thing. Can SolarWinds even do this?
-
They don't pay attention to Thwack
-
It would be much easier to just do a SQL query to extract all that info
-
This would be awesome
-
solarwinds123...?! Really? THIS is the level of security SolarWinds uses? https://www.reuters.com/article/global-cyber-solarwinds/hackers-at-center-of-sprawling-spy-campaign-turned-solarwinds-dominance-against-it-idUSKBN28P2N8…

No, it will NOT protect you from this exploit. It will merely "...make it more difficult to exploit the vulnerability". That's why they are working on HF2 to actually fix the problem.
-
Shame on SolarWinds for not releasing THIS kind of info to us yesterday.
-
Yes, but it's not really giving us any information. It's just saying install HF1 now and then HF2 tomorrow. A little more detail is what we are looking for.
-
I was told this morning by a SolarWinds support agent the HF1 doesn't actually fix the problem, it merely, "...makes it more difficult for the vulnerability to be exploited". I asked when HF2 will be available and was told "sometime tomorrow". No definitive info.

solarwinds123.... REALLY?! THIS is the level of security used to secure your systems? https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20201215/13203045893/security-researcher-reveals-solarwinds-update-server-was-secured-with-password-solarwinds123.shtml…

Yep. Same here. My VPN dedicated firewalls show 0 remote VPN users. Perfect. Not only that, but it keeps renaming all of my devices. All of our devices are done in fail over pairs. SW just keeps setting both devices to be the same name. It's hard to know which is which if there is a problem. Since late November we have…

IF ONLY their Tech support department was as tenacious as their sales.

Once you have downloaded configs from your device, they will show up in a "Config List" widget. There is also a 'Configs' tab created as part of every node to access them. I've done a daily config compare of my firewalls to publish a daily report each morning showing the before and after of all firewall changes the day…

You need way more resources on your DB server. I'd double the vcpu's and get yourself up to at least 32GB RAM (if not 64GB). SQL server is very hungry for RAM.
-
So you are having problems with Network Insight for ASA also? I've had a ticket open with SolarWInds since mid OCTOBER trying to resolve my issues. I finally had to raise hell and start CC'ing everyone I could find at SW to get some attention on the matter. Still waiting to start work on it again. Funny thing is, the…

Is there any way someone could check on this for me? It's been three weeks now and still no points.
-
It's been 2 weeks for me now...
-
Sooo... I did as suggested above in the "Correct Answer" provided. I sent an email to TechnicalSupportFeedback@solarwinds.com and requested assistance. It's now been 18 days since that email and... nothing. I'm still in the dark with the status of my ticket. Shouldn't tech support management get involved in (or at least…

I opened a case back in September for the Advanced ASA monitoring. It's now March and I have ZERO results to show for it. Going on 6 months now for a feature that should work. Each time I call in, I need to upload more diagnostics, then nothing. I keep trying to be patient, but when management wants to see this feature in…

I'm curious what process monitors you created.
-
Why would you want to do this anyway? Say your web server dies in a fire, you still have access to everything SolarWinds by accessing the web interface from your main poller. You don't have to publish how to get there, so your traffic will be zero on the main poller, but in a pinch it is REALLY nice to be able to still get…

After you have purchased NCM... then you can go to Home > Jobs... then 'Create new Job'. On the job creation, select 'Download Configs from Devices'. Ten all you have to do is set the parameters for which devices to backup and how often.
-
I'd love to have a look at that report if possible.
-
That's correct, all servers. You will need to shut down all services while you swap out the MIBs.cfg file to release the existing one.
-
Some of my routers at remote offices won't let me monitor their NTP status. I created a job to run daily that merely runs this script and returns the results via email to me. show ntp status | inc synchronized show ntp status | inc offset
-
Thanks Miguel. How about posting your email address out there so folks with lingering / unsolved issues can contact you directly. People like myself with a ticket that has been open for 6 months. That way you can help fix the issue, or escalate the issue to the appropriate people. It would also give you the added benefit…

WARNING.... This solution will give you MOST of the alerts an object can trigger, BUT NOT ALL OF THEM. Just know that before you trust it completely.
-
Great NOC view! Can you share how you added the time zone clocks and the weather widget?
-
I wouldn't hold your breath

Thanks LadaVarga, but my point was that I can't migrate. I'm looking at an in place upgrade on my SQL server. Thank you though, I'll certainly use this for the VM's I have for my pollers and web server.
