I havent had the problems you have, but I do agree about your comments on increasing the price. There are some nice new features there, but I think they spent a lot of time on reworking a UI that already worked well. The mapping ability is nice though! I dont have near the number of monitors you do, and the same might…

my biggest interface load on a device is around 400 interfaces and i've never had this type of problem after updates - but your 850 is certainly a lot! you might just win a prize If we're giving out prizes here, I have one router that has 1100 interfaces on it! Thanks to Juniper and the physical interface/logical interface…

Please tell me this problem goes away in 9.5. It takes way too much concentration just to upgrade or apply a service pack. I guess I don't understand why the config wizard can't just kill the service itself or why it's necessary for the config wizard to start the service, then stop it immediately, in effect causing the…

Sorry to dredge up an old post, but you cannot import MIBs into UnDP or Orion. You need to create a new poller in UnDP and browse to the OID you want to add. You can go to 'juniper-ive (12532)' in the 'enterprises' part of the MIB tree and see the available OIDs there. I am about to build some IVE pollers and when I'm…

Actually, I upgraded last week to 4.0.1, at the request of Chris Weiner in support. I'm still seeing the same thing.

I have also seen requests for IPAM to have the ability to attach to a router and grab its route information by SNMP. This is a good idea, but there needs to be some sort of filtering mechanism so that you can prevent the importing of routes you don't want. For instance, our core routers have over 350,000 routes in them - I…

1. For the syslog server, have better integration between the Syslog tables and the Node tables. At the moment, you can only filter based upon very specific node-related criteria such as IP address or hostname. As an aside, the hostname is often useless, because syslogs inconsistently report wacky hostnames (it happens on…

In what variable does the '-Cooked' work? I've attempted to use it to display current interface bandwidth, but it doesn't work: Current RX traffic is ${Interfaces.InBps-Cooked} BITS per second Current TX traffic is ${Interfaces.OutBps-Cooked} BITS per second I've tried with and without the "Interfaces" table definition.…

That's what I figured it was like that for, thanks for confirming. I have custom views set up for many of my device types that have four separate tabs: Summary Interface Information Hardware Events & Logs I personally don't care if it takes me directly to the Hardware Health information, though, I fully understand why one…

I'm just guessing here, but the issue may be that a virtual server already has a parent (it's host). So when you add another parent, the only time the dependency will work is if both are down.. Thanks for the response, but as I said, it is only a member of this one single dependency/group.

quote:Originally posted by praxis More thorough support for ALL Cisco devices so I can dump CSM, bleh F5 BigIP support would be big for a lot of people, but I can imagine that would take a lot of additional development. FYI, creating new device types is not too difficult. For the F5 BIGIPs, it should be easy enough to…

Dresden, That show was great, I wish it was still on. This is pretty much what I've already done, so I guess I'll open a case. What I'm seeing is that only the pings coming from Orion are experiencing this problem, but not from the CLI. I've seen various posts from others on this topic, but none really have a satisfactory…

I am pretty sure you can get what you're looking for by using the 'Search Configs' tool. The Search Configs tool is the little button with binoculars and a piece of paper in the toolbar. If you expand the options by using the double arrows, you can see that you can specify not only the search string, but also the date and…

Thanks, that seemed to work. Now onto other issues!

Thanks so much! That did it.

Well, I opened a ticket and the tech is asking for a screenshot. I'd like to oblige him, but Murphy has struck again. I cannot seem to replicate the problem! I am wondering if my changing the polling values to every 5m instead of every 10m had something to do with it. I've tried setting the graph type on both single…

Looking at the raw chart data, it looks like the poller is running every 5 minutes, but only storing the data every 10 minutes. The answer to this question came last night to me in a dream. My node polling is set to 10 minutes and my graph is showing a 5 minute interval. Duh. First problem still remains. I am not able to…

I found out what is happening here, in case someone else runs into the issue. There's no solution yet. The problem is not that the CCT isn't running the commands, but rather that it is inserting a large amount of unnecessary spaces in the output. This is what the output should look like: Enter new password: <new_password>…

Hi, This was not our problem, but it's good information nonetheless. Thanks for posting.

Hi Jan, Actually, I'm running 10.4.1. I do notice that if I spam the "+" button, it eventually will load and every time after the initial load, it works fine.

So it's not at all limited by the number of elements?
-
Wow, that is terribly disappointing. I personally would like to have seen this fixed as opposed to new icons in the web console. (Although, I do like the new icons!)

We are a large Solarwinds shop, but, I have found their custom MIB support lacking. I…

I'll take this as a feature request, but in the meantime, it should be do-able with editing of the SQL. Maybe you could post what you've got and the rest of the Thwack community could help. That's the problem - I don't have anything. My SQL syntax always fails. All I need to know is where I can put one of the following…

Before destroying these files, can you make copies of them? One of my colleagues, Matt, will get in touch with you to work with you regarding replication steps. No problem - I always make backups and sometimes backups of backups :-) Just to be clear, this will only affect data that my network discovery engine has stored,…

Thanks, but you are missing the point. The issue is not showing passwords in configs, but rather in the NCM Manager when adding or editing a node.
-
It's a ticket system that uses cURL to make the POST, but the -k or --insecure option cannot be set. Doing so would require a feature enhancement request.

Not that I can tell. There's a lot of Errors for Netpath that look like this, but I wouldn't think they have anything to do with general alerts: ErrorCode: NetPath_20022 Message: Exception in processing detail response for IP 77.67.127.255: An item with the same key has already been added.. Elapsed time: 1209 ms Exception:…

Yes, changing in the MRV.

I second this. Having to create two accounts for one person (one in AD and one in ipMonitor) is redundant.
