Monitoring of connected/disconnected lightweight access points is critical. A lightweight access point that is pingable but not connected to the controller is a useless access point, so just monitoring the APs as a node does not work. We need to know when they are disconnected from the controller. Alerts that trigger on…

Great to see this finally implemented. But sad that you lose ability to monitor up/down on edge nodes when orchestrator is down.

I currently have nodes that make up a 'site' group (Firewall and router), if both go down then the site is down and an group down alert is triggered. It would be great if the alerts for the individual nodes could be suppressed. IE if a group is down, then all members of the group should not be alerted on.

Starting with 2023.2, new alert actions that require executing an external program or VB script require an approval by a system administrator. I had some alerts that used scripts to create trouble tickets in our ticketing system. After the upgrade the scripts stopped working. Approve alert actions executing a script…

So if a node is down for say 10 minutes and I have 2 minute polling. From the time the first poll is not responded to, to the time when the node does respond. Is Orion polling every 10 seconds, or does it only do the 10 second polling for the first missed polling period and then revert back to the 120 second polling?

I like this as a work around. You can use HTML coding to change the color and font size. I also duplicated it across the tops of all columns.

Not sure the NPM mentioned here is the Solarwinds NPM.

Instead of relying upon a database to populate the node with the correct Long/Lat. Would it not be easier to just populate the World Map with a group that contains the nodes. I have setup groups for all of our locations, the groups are populated via dynamic query based on the custom property of SiteCode for the node. IE…
