Yes we have additional polling engines. I logged into the engine that the server was set to and tried to hit the URL through IE and it worked without issues. I just tried using {IP} and {Node.DNS} as suggested and both came back with the same error (500 - Internal Server Error)..

I guess simply I was wondering if there is a way to tie a pie chart to a group or application. The screen that the operations team uses is hanging from the ceiling and far from some folks so they were requesting to add pie charts so they can see a big Green or Red "dot".

jamesatloop1 - We had maintenance on our SQL Servers last night and after they came back up the slowdowns and error messages in resources are gone. I wonder if there was something hosed up on the SQL server and a restart of the services fixed it.

It runs daily and has run every day since the upgrade.
-
No, we performed the migration from SQL to the Flow Storage DB last August. Yes, I ran the upgrade on the Flow Database first and then updated the Primary Poller and the APEs.
-
I would think EMC would need to put out a patch for this.

aLTeReGo has anything came out of this? We just had a request to monitor a website and look for specific strings. I believe this regex pattern matching could help greatly in setting up a check that they are requesting.

No, this is just a summary view with Custom HTML resources that have iframe links back to a interface chart of some of our switches and CPU load charts on some of our main systems. This is on the PDF that is generated after we click the "Export to PDF" on the upper right of the page. We are still on 10.6.1.

nickzourdos and jbiggley I know this is almost a year later, but do you remember if you were able to clean this up?
-
Oh wow!!! Well I guess I will just keep doing the way I had been doing it - downloading the APE install files and running them one by one.
-
I run it after every module in case there are issues.
-
Please keep the thread updated. We are on 7.0,2 and will be doing this same upgrade in the future.
-
I ended up restarting the server and manually rerunning the maintenance and it completed fine. It just takes a VERY long time if you are monitoring a lot of interfaces.

neomatrix1217 Do you know what the problem is? Just curious. I have opened a ticket but they haven't started it yet.
-
I'll do that. Thanks
-
How do you use the map in your implementation? Do you have a Network Atlas map pointed to it?
-
The issue wasn't with Solarwinds at all. Apparently during the NTA upgrade last week one of our network devices had an issue, which caused half of the monitored devices to stop sending flows. Once they restarted it the flows started being captured again. Phew!! I thought my upgrade broke it!

Yes, I have opened a ticket. They found the following in the logs.. ERROR VMwareService.VmwareVim25Poller - VMware Job Polling node xx.xxx.xx.xxx - can't get performance counters. All values set to zero. System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out I'm trying to work with our VM team to set up an account that has…

Yeah, but it says that I have too many upgrades and it won't tell me the upgrade path.
-
We are planning an upgrade from 10.6.1 in early June. I'm hoping all these issues are fixed or I might stay one version behind at 11.0.1.
-
I meant to, but I was in the middle of our upgrades so I never got around to it. I think I will try to install it again in the next week and see if the error still occurs.
-
It seems to have done the trick. Thanks!

Out of the box with NPM 10.6.1 and SAM 6.0.2. When we list resources, it lists F5 and it adds that information to the "Network" tab for the node. Unfortunately, there doesn't look to be a way to alert of them, just display them on the screen.
-
jrouviere Please let me know if you find anything. I have reached out to the team that manages them to see if they see the difference between versions as well. Where do you see these version listings?
-
I am only getting the columns up to "Physical Memory" on the Real Time Process Explorer (SAM 6.0.2). I did find another way to check it - I had to shorten the string I had in the filter and remove anything with "."s or "/"s.
-
The "Orion Scalability Engine" is what is in the notification and we have 9 licensed APEs across our environment. I'm not sure why it is saying that a Scalability Engine Evaluation is expired. Isn't an APE a Scalability Engine?
-
Neither of these links are the problem we are seeing.
-
This is what is on there. Nothing about PCU/power.
-
We are using SNMPv2 on the node monitoring, so that shouldn't be the issue. I'm assuming the community string used for the node monitoring is the same one that needs to be set up in the snmp.acl file on Java? Does Solarwinds pass that community string through to the SAM components as there is no field to enter in a…

Interesting, the Serial Number field is blank on SRM. That may explain it.
