Absolutely. It's like bringing up the question, on-prem e-mail or cloud e-mail? How do you weigh the costs/benefits? Does that cost/benefit analysis shift when you entirely lose access to the cloud e-mail? You hit the nail on the head, it's a weird balancing act that has a finite life span. Time will tell.

I am in the Air Force and we are currently required to SmartCard enable our SolarWinds. The only problem is that in order to add AD user accounts, we require a username and password which we no longer have. All of our Administrator credentials are also SmartCard enabled.
