Congrats to the new MVPs as well as the continued MVPs. I hope to join your ranks one day!

Sounds a lot like Equifax...

I say that every morning, so far so good. Gotta be good for something, right?

Disregard my previous comment (now deleted). Dumb question

Thanks @"tony.johnson" I'll give that a try and report back. The only thing I could think of that would be better would be configuring a redirect for the login.aspx straight to the SAML authentication page/function.

I feel like I remember seeing some type of commercial that talked about tracking tomatoes through blockchain, and I was like, that seems like some dumb thing they are saying to prove they can do things. Then I googled it: Someone Figured Out How to Put Tomatoes on a Blockchain - Bloomberg Wow.

I guess the important question is can the SolarWinds agent support monitoring a supercomputer at the exascale? Would be a pretty cool feat!

Can't tell if insecurity is misspelled by accident, or if it's part of the joke...

I wear lead underpants to keep out the radiation from my smart phone. lol.

Bump for this. I am running into this issue now. We have devices in multiple parts of the world. North America, Europe, Asian Pacific, and Australia. It would be great to be able to rotate through focused views of the map rather than having the whole world and having to zoom in. This could also be useful for multiple…

The geek squad/FBI relationship does not surprise me one bit. Smaller companies often do the same thing, if you bring in your computer to be fixed, they're often times going to go through it. Also, as far as a government agency not enforcing their security, say it isn't so! You would hope when they deal with people's…

aLTeReGo but does it have a dark theme option?

After Brett made his edit..

I was happy being ignorant about the comment asheppard970 made, but you went and ruined it. Thanks for messing that all up for me rschroeder

The major problem with changes in COTS (Commercial off the shelf) and the IoT is the lack of training in the DoD. IoT Security isn't something that can just be taught in a day.
-
Don't forget smart watches, most cars made after the mid-2000s, and so on. Most of these devices connect to networks with unique information that CAN be tracked if it has been documented properly.

That's what I am here for!

I also took the survey, and was not asked about thwack username.

sqlrockstar I have grown accustomed to your Wednesday posts and look forward to them every week! That being said, the internet is a scary place. What's worse, is it has always been kind of scary, but we are only just now learning more about what's going on and being made aware of it. That's the scariest part!

But we have an SLA that protects us. "Did you read the fine print? Did you read the EULA? Those both negate all the protections if we decide there is no benefit to us."

I prefer pocket sand.

Oh, believe me, I've done a lot of that. I just can't do the live training yet as we don't have an active maintenance license. I am a SolarWinds auditor for my company, so I make sure other people's environments are correctly configured and I do a lot of back-end SQL reporting. I would share some of those queries, but the…

@"aLTeReGo" You're not wrong. I hate when people come to me with problems and no idea of a solution, so I kind of went that route. I have added a "narrative" of the issues I've run into that made those solutions come to mind. I had that stuff initially, but like I said, my post disappeared somehow after I added an edit.…

There is someone close to me that I have been trying to pass for weeks. They saw my quick gain and began to elevate rapidly into the top 800. I am closing in, but I fear there are just not enough things to do and questions to answer to increase even quicker!

I would also love this. How long until NTM is fully integrated into the Orion Web Platform? Devs please!
-
If anyone isn't pissed about the OPM breach, it's because they didn't realize that their information was likely also compromised during it.
-
I would like to bump this. I've been writing custom pollers and custom SWQL. I would love to have some easier to use methods that a easier for my non-SolarWinds savvy co-workers.
-
It's even worse since I work for a SolarWinds partner company, but we have not pursued an NFR until recently. It's all good though, we just need to vocalize this with our account managers and work to get it resolved. I've had some really good account managers with SolarWinds that do their best to help us out. You just need…

I really think the Minotaur should have won over the Griffin. And I cannot even fathom why the Basilisk is not in the final four? How is a Phoenix going to actually beat a Basilisk? The Phoenix didn't beat the Basilisk in Harry Potter, but it did give it a slight disadvantage. Oh well, 2 of 4 for the finals isn't bad. That…

An offline version of the "Falcon installer" that is being used for the online installation would be terrific. I would be willing to wait for a 10GB download to complete if it had every Orion component on it and I only needed to run one installer. The ability to build an "update package" from the Customer Portal would be…
