I don't believe that you can use the hpux supplied daemon to get cpu and disk stats, you need to get net-snmp (5.0.9 supposedly, but I was recently told to upgrade to 5.4 by Solarwinds to resolve an over 100% cpu report) snmpd.conf should only contain a couple of lines unless you have an odd config sysname yourhostname…

there is a "last boot" property that triggers on snmp restarts that you can alert off of that is way more accurate than trying to catch the downtime
