That is good to hear. I think that this is the ONLY module from Solarwinds that we don't/cannot use.

Check with your Foundry rep. I don't think that any of the Foundry devices support v5 of sFlow until later this year, early next year. I think that was the problem in our case. Since the Netflow module won't collect anything other than that version, we cannot do anything with it.

Will do - opening ticket soon.

Sweet - when do we expect to see APM 2? When Orion 9 comes out?

Ok, I have all the processes working correctly now. All SQL servers are reporting the Processes but I cannot find any of the SQL counters in WMI. I can see them in perfmon on the servers themselves, just not in WMI. This is on all servers - x32/x64/single instance/multi-instance.

I watched it running this afternoon. The Discovery was set to timeout after an hour. It hadn't gotten to the meat of my devices before it timed out. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not, but I have changed the timeout to 300 min and we can see how it goes from there. 9.5 seems greatly different than 9.1 and…

I am getting nothing in the perfmon tool. I have checked the device and everything is setup correctly. I even changed the port in NTA to 6343 to collect on the native port. I see the bytes increasing but not sFlow data. I added another device and configured it but to no avail. Everything works fine with collecting sFlow…

I can see the WMI counters from the Solarwinds machine, just not the SQL ones. When I use the WBEMTEST from the Solarwinds server, I see everything. Using APM I cannot see any of the SQL ones but just about everything else. All the permissions are the same on this server as they are from the SQL servers that are being…

So, really those buttons should be removed from NPM? or at least changed to something else? I really liked the way that it used to work with it pulling the running services from the servers and allowing me to check what I wanted monitored. Not as crazy about the new way of doing things.

Can I change the default WMI Query use any instance of SQL installed on a machine ala a generic command or do I have to customize it with an app per an instance?
-
Other than opening a ticket, how can I verify they support that MIB?
-
No. I show where it thanks me for installing it and where the collector comes up.

Correct, I see nothing under either one of those tabs. I am using IE 6.0.3790.1830. Interestingly enough, I can do a scan on that /16 subnet it doesn't show anything. When I do a /24 subnet it shows them just fine.
