I don't think I'm doing this right. the FQDNis orion.adntx.com but the WebsiteID of 1 is gone now (it had the server's name). Thinking I need to get that back? IDK.

Well, no new suggestions I guess. Anywho, I think I got a workaround that appears to have done the trick. I just went to manage nodes, and found my cisco wlan controller that they thin client had been associated with. Deleted the node and waited about 5min. Then re-added it fresh. Came up clean and the removed thin client…

THANKS! This is exactly what I am looking for. And the report edit allows you to uncheck events you do not want to see on the report (example: user login & logout lines).

We use a un-supported DB setup that does not allow deletion of historical data so we do not lose it upon node deletion or re-naming, etc.

Did any more information come of this thread? We have deployed Dell Force10 S4810 in our network. Added the sflow configuration to the global, as well as the main wan link, and pointed it to our Solarwinds server. I can see the main interface BW utilization information, however, "Last Received Netflow" just says Never.…

Does anyone else have a suggestion on how to get the triggered alert to go away. It is just sitting there and I can't find anywhere in the system to remove it permanently.

michal.hrncirik - Thank you for the concise and informative answer. Exactly what I was needing. Regards, Shaun.

The AP is gone from the WLAN controller as of yesterday when it was unplugged and removed. There is nothing there for me to remove. I tried the Advanced Alert Manager option, found the alert there and deleted it. This removed it from the Triggered Alerts and I thought we were good. But it just came back.... D'ohh.

I will ask the DBA for his input on the situation. However, the more I think about it the more I'm thinking you're right. If you take the server (let's call it NPM#2) and migrate the nodes to NPM#1 - that will be fine and work, but taking the NPM#2 data and putting it in NPM#1 database I don't think you can do that.

I believe from that I'm reading that the historical data on the old system and database will likely be lost on the instance I'm moving and shutting off.

Is it "horrible" for NPM primary SQL DB and the NTA Flow Storage DB to be on the same database server?

In the graph area, click Edit top right. I then played around with different settings for Time Period, and Sample Interval. I got it to work with a specific setting under the node and also in the interface graph views. I also had to uncheck the show 95th Percentile Box.

SolarWindsOrion Platform 2014.2.1, QoE 1.0, NPM 11.0.1, NTA 3.11.0, IVIM 1.10.0, VNQM 4.2 1995-2014 SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. All Rights Reserved. I am planning update NPM and NTA as soon as the client allows.

Very much so. Thanks a ton. SW

Excellent Question!!! It seems like there should be a Server Sizing Tool offered at Solarwinds.com (patent pending) that allows you to put in the modules you are going to deploy, and a ballpark on nodes/interfaces/volumes you are looking at for license sizing: THEN it kicks out the size and specs for your primary server,…

Since the interface was reporting on the line speed (100mb) instead of the actual BW, I did a custom BW for the T1 of 1.5mb. It has been over 20min now since that and still no graph. I edited the resource to Time Period: Default Zoom Range: last hour Amount of historical data to load: Last 1 Day Sample interval: Every 1…

Nevermind, it is just under that "Action Manager" tab and listed by the action there, not the Alert. Got it!

Excellent thread. Helped me fix the Top Talker email issue I was having. Now, I just need to figure out how to send only Top Conversations As opposed to the interface details (which seems darn set on putting Top 5 Protocols at the top of the email.... hrmph.

Any new developments from Solarwinds on this? Perhaps NTA is now able to be setup to forward on 'fan-out' data after it receives it now? The last update on this was 2009. It's 2015 now, we put a man on the moon. Surely this option now exists?

Long time listener, first time caller. This thread looks like it may be kind of dead and I need some help on it. Recently removed a wireless access point that had associated with our Cisco 4404 WLAN Controller. Got the alert and I can not figure out where to delete/remove this alert for the thin client.. NPM 10.1.2 SP1,…
