I agree. My company tracks BGP neighbors for 100 different clients, and I NEED a way to be able to distinguish exactly which client went down in the alert. Even being able to use the interface description would be useful for those purposes.

I'm getting this exact same error. Did you ever figure out a way around it?

I have tried using the same SQL statements in the Advanced SQL report, but have no luck with that either.

Yes, I created the report as an Advanced SQL report. I then made it a Resource in Column 1 on the Home Page. On the Home Page, I click edit for that resource, and there's a place to filter nodes using a simple SQL statement.

Thanks for the idea. I checked that out and it was the problem.

I have the same problem. Let me know if you find a fix. Solarwinds needs to pee or get off the pot. Either support this, or get rid of it. Nobody being able to get it to work and not get ANY help is stupid.

I have also tried using an "inclusion" SQL command (ex: Caption Like '* - *') but that isn't working either. I thought maybe it wasn't working due to me using an "exclusion" SQL command, but alas, that was not the case.

I found out how to get him all the rights he needed. I had to create a local NCM account. For some reason his AD account, no matter how many rights I gave it, would not work.
