@ronak.dalal@arqiva.com Can you give an example of your sql query?
-
Thanks!! And congrats to the other two MVPs!!!
-
Awesome! Thanks DanielleH and Solarwinds!!!

Is anyone else having the issue that you can go back and answer some questions that you have already answered successfully? For instance, I cannot go back and do question 1 again, but day 2 i can. I'm using the same browser on the same computer, so not sure its a cookies thing but who knows.
-
So sorta side-tracking but only because today's question brought it up - "if you could change one thing about the installation and getting started" So I've got a bunch of solar winds products and a bunch of polling engines. I would love to get some some sort of roadmap for upgrades dynamically created so I know what engine…

I know right...consider me teased!

Looks like I joined the missed it club...Seemed obvious to me but oh well.
-
maria.bungau not sure its fixed yet - I just answered day 9 two more times Same internet connection, same computer, same browser.

Congrats to all the winners!!
-
Awesome! Thanks for looking into it for us!

Virtualization is starting to become a lot more prevalent with the things my company has been doing lately. I've recently had a similar discussion with my co-workers and others and these points brought up are indeed good ones to be aware of. Thanks for the great post!

Id be happy with VLAN ID in the left hand side listings, next to Description or something. I literally just had this request this week from some users.

I'm assuming UDT is polling the 5k and your Eth xxx/x/xx for your FEXs show up in your 5k?
-
How is your setup, do you have 7ks, going to the 5ks to the FEXs?
-
Click on the vmMembershipTableSummary in UDT comp checker. Column 1, the index, is your vlan #, column 2 the 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.1.1.2 is what populates from the switch when it identifies a layer 2 switchport in that vlan list in column 1. In my case, column 1 , #10 , had column 2 blank up until I put a line card in…

My FEXs are directly connected to my nexus 7k. No 5k in play here. 7k with a bunch of 10gig F2 or M2 cards, trunked off to a gazillion FEX units. Did you try running the UDT compatibility checker? The card has to be a line card that is going to have a port ifindex value between 0-2048, FEX ports ifindex is calculated…
-
I would agree but unfortunately the old saying "sqeaky wheel...." applies apparently.
-
Yep I saw that but like the original poster my labels are being pulled from the list top down, rather than coorelating the processor number with the correct processor physical entity entry.

Kurt H wrote: So, if what I am getting you are saying. If I take one of my blades on the Nexus 7K, or rather a few ports and put them on the same VLANs as I have on the FEX ports, I will see the information on the 5K's when polling via UDT? So here is what I did. I've got a line card in module 7 on my 7018, its a 1/10gig…

Can you go into detail how you got this to show up correctly in the table with all three MIB's together? I've got the custom poller's defined, but am struggling to get it all showing up properly on a table.
-
All - I've put in a feature request for this ---- I'm being told we really need to get some movement on thwack to get this addressed - please vote on it!

So by the packet loss graph I see the 100% packet loss, which should have generated a node down, however the current packet loss is showing 60%, is that right? Once solarwinds pings a box and doesn't get a response, it goes into a different mode I forget what its called but it starts pinging it more frequently. I'm…

do you have access to the NCM server directly? Can you open up the database manager on there? its built in and may save you time. Is this just specific to your nexus gear, or do you have other devices that are failing config download jobs? FWIW - I have over 100 Nexus devices being managed, all are using the canned config…
-
Just for kicks - Can you delete it and re-add it to npm?
-
Thanks peter.ksenzsigh! Waiting to hear back!
-
Check out my thread - UDT not working on Nexus FEX units I've spent way too much time on this - Cisco's vmMembershipSummaryTable isn't being populated by the layer 2 ports on the FEX, because the port if index value is greater than 2048. Because the vmMembershipSummary Table isn't populated, UDT doesn't know to go grab the…

jhowe - did you ever get this resolved?
-
I'm curious how you are getting Power Supply, temp and other....I've got a mix of nx-os 6.1(3), and 6.2(2) in this same setup with seperate VDCs, and all I see is temp on all of them, and I'm also monitoring them as separate switches using NPM 10.6.1
-
wow!! perfect timing on the screenshots! Again, I could be wrong, but you can generate alerts off of the UnDP but not change the node status in NPM. I believe you can in SAM though.
-
alind - yes, removed everything from the transferqueue. This is assuming you want to clear everything in your transfer status gui...if there is stuff you want to keep then you would obviously exclude from your deletion.
