  • We dont have a way to alert if any new devices are added to Storage Manager. However, you may create your own script to achieve this.Running a scheduled script (Perl/Shell/VB) on the Storage manager server to monitor any new devices added in the devices table may help you to achieve this.

  • Currently there is no way to test the Alert until the disk actually holds the respective status (Failed, Replaced and etc) as the information is being retrieved from the provider.
