This now gets back to the question of maintenance. If there's a known defect, and there is no intention of fixing it, then what is the maintenance for? If there's no clear roadmap for development, and if some bugs just aren't being fixed then where is the value? I already have other mapping tools, so it was going to be a…

Thanks!

I think there's an equation here... If( "Sudden_Situational_Awareness" > Factor(Pucker) ) Wash_shorts

Thank you to all the bugs, virii, and other things that cause stuff to break. Without you I would have to find a real job.

Training material. I've found a few good training bundles over the years, so I always check around for something new to learn.

One thing I would add here is purchase cycles. In traditional environments storage is usually a large initial purchase with incremental spend for growth until controller upgrades or tech refreshes are needed. Compute is generally more linear where servers are added as growth demands, or old servers need to be replaced. In…

NTM is mostly dead. The last release was 2.2.2 in Jan 2016. In the thread above back in 2017 they said only minor updates were going to happen, but nothing in four years.

Dear network, With all the malicious activity that's taken place lately you're lucky to have me. I'm not proud of some of the things I've done or said for you, like what I told a particularly bad actor after a cryptolocker scare "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can…

Ok, is the prize for week 1 a DVD set or Blu-ray? The description says DVD, but it links to the Blu-ray. Besides, who does DVD anymore?

Let's see how long this lasts... The one that I'm starting to use more heavlily is LiveAction (http://www.liveaction.com/) which, in addition to layer 2/3 mapping, it also provides netflow and QoS info. We are a Cisco shop, and have an IWAN deployment, and LiveAction can actually show the traffic flows between the…

Does this mean that next year my support renewal will reflect that there's really nothing happening here? Not sure why I'd get billed for a maintenance agreement when it sounds like there's no maintenance.

Did all the shirts ship? I completed the contest, but haven't received anything yet.

PRTG WSUS (don't judge me) LiveAction Cisco Prime (and gobs of other vendor-specific tools) VNC

This might not fit in with most of the others, but my biggest fear is a server fan eating my beard. There are some devices out there (NexSAN SATABeast anyone) that have massive fans, and I've come close to being eaten alive a few times. Aside from the immediate pain, the call to support to get a replacement fan would be…

I would also like to suggest that objects can be added like an Internet or MPLS cloud/

Thanks for looking into this! I'm looking forward to getting those shirts.

Yeah, turn off all the gear before I go into the datacenter. Wait... are you implying I should cut my bea... no, no, you wouldn't suggest such a thing. That's the stuff on nightmares right there.

I seem to be running into the same issue. Any chance someone from support can post the DLL or fix here, or in the Content Exchange?

A couple easy things to check- Do any nodes on the left have a green check mark next to them? The check indicates what is drawn on the map. Another thing to check would be to just pan around on the map. I've had the map place objects outside of the viewing area, and I had to search to find them.
