For access solarwinds academy, you can using portal partner or customer portal with SWID, partner portal no need SWID but your must using company email as partner solarwinds.

If you adding the snmp service in program and featuring server configuration, you will see SNMP service included WMI, i think you can using SNMP for polling method bcs SNMP done including for WMI feature now
