Node details shows the location correct. I am assuming once turned on all nodes with a location set should automatically show up on the word map? Adding a new node with snmp location set does not show up on the map either.

I do not currently see any reports other then error reports in SmartAdvisor. The tool has uploaded our inventory and the status shows Complete with Errors - KTN Pending 3/497 . When I go and look at the errors all devices show System Description missing.

To fix my issue I had to get with our network security team to add the required sites to the white list so solarwinds could access them. I did not have to make any changes to the server it self.

Is there a trick to getting this to work? We upgraded to 11.5 over the weekend. I have added snmp location string to 20 locations over the weekend and today non are showing up on the map. I do have Automatic Geolocation checked under the web console settings. snmp-server location Evansville, IN

As long as the snmp location string is set, yes. Please be aware that at least in our environment the map also pulls location from AD containers, APC location strings and other stuff. So you will have to either filter a bunch of stuff out or get the owners of those devices to modify the strings with the proper information.…

Apparently Policy Falsified happens when you enter an invalid password? It is working now. When the report gets uploaded all devices show an error due to "System Description is missing" in Cisco Smart Advisor.

They have no access from a mobile device to anything except their email. I was hoping to provide a group of people to remotely do a quick health check. We get alerts and all of that. Would just be nice to request a quick over view of the current status of.

Struxurware is not difficult to setup but the version we are on has some security vulnerabilities that we are unable to address without a major upgrade. There is a GUI but we do all of the configuration from the command line. I am able to SSH into the devices.

My issue was the app user running all the services on the server was did not have this url on the allowed list. http://open.mapquestapi.com/ ... Once added nodes started to show up. I am having issues with only a few of the 20 I have configured so far showing up but at least its a start.

Yes we had this issue. I had to change the IP address on all 800 of our nodes. Was a major PITA.

Looks like the lowest you can set the check is 60 seconds. So that idea is out. Thank you for the reply!
