I see the same thing in 3.0.1 on many Cisco switches. Looks to me like it happens only on devices running Cisco 15.0 code. Anyone else?

The SNMP Walk tool perform the scan just fine. I had to re-install NTM. But as you can see above, I never get any further on setting up credentials for NTM to do the 1st scan.

I had this same issue when I started using Cisco IOS 15.0 and greater. SW had to write me a Buddy Patch to fix. Apparently Cisco changed some SNMP parameters when they went into the 15.x code release.

BTW, I had a sniffer running and never seen NTM attempt to make the query. It just refuses my SNMPv3 parameters I enter to set up a New SNMP credential. Errors out at stated above.

I have narrowed my issue to only devices performing Layer 3 functionality running Cisco IOS 15.x and higher. I have tried moving down from SNMPv3 on these devices to SNMPv2 with the same result. I have Paessler SNMP tool and it does work fine with it. Tried it this AM right after NTM failed just to be sure. Also I am running SW UDT via SNMPv3 queries and they work just fine.
