  • Thanks JB. I should have mentioned that the location field is contained within the table, ie a table of 20 racks with temperature and locations for each. So that when rack 7 alarms, I can't pull out the location field on the corresponding table row. Cheers, Simon
  • Hi Yann, Thanks for your help - unfortunately the .2 doesn't work. By a MIB walk do you mean browsing the MIB tree ? If so there are no index numbers shown. Sorry I'm trying to learn this as I go - "type the OID in a UnDP" What is the UnDP ? Frustrated, Simon
  • Thanks Jason, that did the trick. Cheers, Simon
  • Dave, I'm struggling to find where in Orion you capture SNMP alerts. The syslog collector doesn't seem to do anything with SMNP. What I want to do is caputure adhoc SMNP alerts from network devices. Simon
  • Any progress on this "feature" ? I also have a requirement to provide accurate messages when waking support staff in the wee hours. In my case I want to report on a specific rack number when high temperature alerts are triggered.
  • OIDs are: The temp OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.3.13.1.1.3 The humidy OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.3.13.1.1.6 I'm confused about the syntax to use. Are you saying to add ".2" at the end of the oid string above to get the 2nd data element ? That doesn't seem correct (although I haven't tried it yet). A comma (,2) would…
  • Hi Ali, I'm using a combination of APC Environmental Management modules AP9319, AP9340, AP9341 The temp OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.3.13.1.1.3 The humidy OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.3.13.1.1.6 I am still having a problem with the humidity data returned, as it returns a table of 3 data element. I'm not use how to…
  • Thanks for your input guys. Getting closer but not quite there. I've got the custon poller pull down, but I can't see where I can select a specific poller. In this case I have two pollers assigned to the same node (temp and humidity). Thanks, Simon
  • Thanks for your replies - it sounds like I need the SNMP Trap collector. From what I can see this is not part of the standard Orion installation, but included in the Engineers toolkit ? Could you please confirm. Thanks, Simon
