I am having the same issue - this in on an alert that worked fine until my upgrade to 9.1 SP2. Displaying the text string works fine int he web pages, but on alerts I get sent a status of "unknown".

No ideas from anyone? haha Using the MIB Broswer from the Engineer's Toolset I am able to make the change I need to, but how can I get NPM to do that? I'm curious if there is a command line interface to MIB Browser, or something similar that I could add to a batch or script and have the alerting engine run that.

Interestingly enough I purchased and downloaded the Full version - this is fixed. Not a great thing for things to NOT work in the Trial versions.

I deal with this issue as well. Each time I need to do a reboot on the Orion servers I need to disable the alerts. During bootup I can see anything from 2 - 20 nodes that originally show as Down, and then they come up within 30 seconds, which of course would trigger alerts.
