You are wanting the ability to add your own MAC's and vendors for devices unknown to solarwinds?
-
Agree- need more features like the last one

Any update?

How would this work for cell/pager #'s ? Where is the Custom Properties value built and defined?
-
The problem is that each alert has customized responses so you would still run into that issue when trying to automate. For example- I have paging alerts and email alerts for Node down and interface down. In order to build the trigger action for both alerts I have to have create a unique Trigger for each instance. The…

This tool doesn't even show on the website any longer.

One way you could do it but requires more manual intervention should you add more nodes is to manually add all the nodes you want to monitor instead of including all of them in your policy report. You can also do a dynamic selection in that policy. Depending on how you have things setup, its possible to put a few different…

I disabled mine. It's always reporting conflicts on legit IPs, never understood why but it also seems to have issues identifying IPS using HSRP.

Deleting subnets from IPAM will not delete from DHCP server. Running the scan in the background you are going to see the results in the dhcp and dns page. You just filter through the top tabs to see the updates and click on the subnet you wish to view to see the results. Depending on your polling times its going to scan…

The new update just released, 2023.1.1 resolves this issue. I just updated this morning and confirmed it now sorts correctly.

Update to 2023.1.1- it fixes the issue.

What version of NPM are you running? I can't really read much in your pictures but are the ASR's running a different version? This can cause differences in what is polled. One other thing to try is running a discovery on that node and extending the timeout value. I had to do this with some of my Cisco ACI 9K switches in…

They just state it will be fixed in next release.

You need to click on live mode to view a more updated look. Putting it on the NOC view is just going to load the last refresh interval Vinay mentioned below.
-
We were just told last night it was a bug as well. They stated it should be fixed before the GA Release.
-
I had the issue prior to upgrading to 2023.1. Support has had my ticket for the past couple of weeks on the issue.

Try building another one with a different parameter to identify Cienna. Another prebuilt field I use is Vendor- I set to Cisco I was able to build this one out and when I go to the submit page I can see it works based on the ports I have currently down in my env.

I highly recommend testing it by downing a link. I use test switches for this purpose. I can't recall the reasoning but I could never get the EIGRP alert to work so I created one off the Log analyzer based on how IOS and IOS-XE present EIGRP alerts. FYI the ACI integration in solarwinds is garbage. You will want to create…

Instead of creating it as a secondary section add the interface to to the first trigger under group member as "and". Another way I do certain alerts is that I gave them a custom text field and I can manually edit multiple interfaces at once by putting that trait in there, I then use that "custom text" as an alert trigger…

Question why do you want to disable the scan? Do you have it linked to a DHCP server as well?
-
Right but I have multiple firewalls so how would I tie them all into the same widget query with multiple node id's.
-
Are those your global settings or individual node settings? I believe it triggers on the ICMP status when it does its poll. ICMP is going to be the fastest method for polling for a down status.
-
Finally pulled in. Thank you!
-
It depends on your device and how it functions with logical interfaces. If you log into your device and look at the stats/counters on the logical interfac does it show anything? If not then Solarwinds is not going to be able to collect statistical data on that link
-
Are you looking for the version of netflow solarwinds supports or the version of NTA you run? Solarwinds NTA supports v9 and will support the cisco 9K's v9 flexible netflow.

I see the new release is out on the website but if I go to my deployment and look at updates and evaluations there is not HF 3 on the products they released one for.
-
is this going to be updated? It hasn't been updated since Dec 13th.

Mine is pretty similar but keep in mind some devices may change the syntax. I had to tweak my alerts on some newer Cisco IOS due to how it displays. I use to build my alerts through the syslog viewer until the newer version of solarwinds logging trashed that service and makes you jump through 20 menus to have an alert not…

If your head end is an ASA or Palo alto you can use CLI polling which will show you bandwidth usage on the tunnel based on your polling timers. If y Do you use node down alerts? If no traffic was flowing across the tunnel I would presumed the node would have showed down in Solarwinds ( based on polling timers) as ICMP…
