Meraki devices need to be configured to use either management Organization SNMP or Network-Wide settings, not both. When Organization is disabled on customer device, it responds to SNMP get requests. See Meraki SNMP Monitoring DOC

Resolution: i was using a Default Resource to get the information needed - I change the "Group by:" to "Classic category", selected one of those resources and that fixed the problem.

You can use the Web reporting. I have heard (3 years ago) that the report writer will disappear and we still have it in the product - it is my preference to use the report writer in some cases.
