Thank you to everyone who opened a support cases regarding the issue outlined in this thread. Because of your assistance our engineering teams have identified the cause of the issue and are now working on developing a fix.

Instead of a script have you considered using the HTTP User Experience Monitor instead?
-
If anything has changed it was likely to fix something that was broken, but not to change how alert suppression was designed to work. The Alert Suppression tab was not designed to function as an alert filter. E.G. trigger on this (Trigger Condition), but not that (Alert Suppression). It was designed and architected to…

Alight, so it appears that NPM is detecting hardware health on this device. That's an important first step. The next thing I would verify is that the 'Current Hardware Health' and 'Hardware Details' resources are added to the Node Details view of that node. If not, ensure that these are added.

So it sounds like the email is being delivered to the server via SNMP fine, but when we attempt to access the mailbox using MAPI it fails to create the profile. Some basics to verify * The Orion Server is in the same domain as the exchange server bring monitored * The user account used to monitor the mailbox with SAM has…

Edit your Custom Table resource and modify the "MAILBOX SIZE" field in your screenshot above to use the following settings.
-
Have you verified that the AppInsight for SQL views selected for that user account are default?
-
You may need to ask that your case be escalated before you find someone who's familiar with SNMP.Since they have their own MIBs surely someone in that company is familiar with SNMP.
-
There's actually quite a bit of information on the use of SAM macros in script available in the thread below. * http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2726

Seems you didn't need my help after all
-
It depends. Are you referring to Application or node specific baselines?
-
Have you tried the recent SeUM 1.5 release? I believe this issue was resolved as part of this release.
-
Once making a direct modification to the database you may need to restart the Orion services before they will take effect. If that does not prevent these events from occurring, then I suggest looking through your Alert Actions to verify there aren't any configured to write to the Orion Event Log, as that may be another…

Units are a setting located under the Field Formatting tab of the report as pictured below.

Both betas and Release Candidates come with 30 day license keys so they can be used in lab/test environments. Release Candidates can also be used to upgrade your production environment and will either utilize your existing commercial license key, or the temporary license is sufficient for the duration of the RC phase.…

That is correct. It's always a good idea to have a backup of your database just in case. It's also required in the unlikely event you want to rollback to a previous version.
-
The Hardware Health Summary Resource is listed on the Orion Summary Home page and looks like the following image The hardware health of Hyper-V hosts is located on the Node Details view. This is the same as it is for any other node.

The SNMP Enabler for Windows supports two methods of deployment. WMI and PSExec. The PSexec method utilizes RPC which uses to the ports I referenced above. The WMI method utilizes a very wide port range as I outline in by blog post Portocalypse - WMI Demystified

Have you looked at any of the following Application Templates? /community/application-and-server_tht/server-and-application-monitor/content?filterID=contentstatus%5Bpublished%5D~objecttype~objecttype%5Bdocument%5D&query=SAP
-
This is configurable within the application editor to only include indexes larger than a specific size as seen below..
-
That is not possible with the template as it is currently written. The script within the template is expecting a static file name. The script would need to be adapted to look at the last modified or last updated date/time of the files in a file system to ensure it's always looking at the lastest.

rharland2012 wrote: From a product standpoint, then, does Solarwinds differentiate between hardware monitoring for routers, switches, etc. and server chassis? It sounds that way, but I'd like to hear it from your side. Yes. Hardware Health in SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor is primarily focused on Servers and…

Does a Cisco MCS 7845I3 have any interest? (re-badged IBM 7947PAQ). After researching It's unclear whether this device exposes hardware information via SNMP. We'd certainly be willing to take a look. I ran the snmpwalk tool and received an ASN.1 decoding error after 720 OID's. The Engineers MIB Walk tool works ok - is an…

So selling by device leaves no measure for what scale you need. Andy, I understand your reasoning surrounding NTA licensing, but I'm in a similar situation with the VoIP Monitor. I recently purchased a very small Cisco Call Manager to run up to 20 phones. I'm presently an Orion SLX2000 customer and I'd love to purchase the…

Another option that would probably work best would be to evaluate our Synthetic End User Monitor product. It's designed specifically to address these specific use cases.
-
Can you verify you can ping the hostname (short name) of the main Orion server from your additional web server? I know it sounds silly, but it may be name resolution issue using NetBIOS.
-
If the application is assigned to a node you can simply click "Edit Application Monitor" from the Application Details view. If the application isn't assigned yet, you can edit the application template from [Settings -> SAM Settings -> Manage Templates].
-
Core hotfixes are cumulative. There is no need to install HF1 then HF2. You can simply install Hotfix 2 and all the fixes contained in HF1 are also included in HF2.
-
Have you verified that all modules running on the Additional Polling Engines are running the same version as the primary, including service releases, hotfixes, and buddy drops? Also, did you complete those steps on all Additional Pollers?

Great share maxjam! I turned this into a web based report and posted it in the Content Exchange for everyone in the community to enjoy. Physical Server Inventory Report
