SAM does not report upon the health status of the individual blades in the chassis, as this information is not available via SNMP from the chassis itself. If you would like to know the health status of the individual blades installed in the chassis you will need to add them as managed nodes in SAM and ensure the Dell…

The ASN.1 error is likely due to the device not supporting SNMP BULK GET. Try again using SNMPv1 or use the NET-SNMP method above.

Absolutely! HA is the heart of what makes the redundancy possible. The virtual hostname and/or VIP are simply convenience features for those customers who don't own or don't have access to a load balancer in their environment. Redirection is only a very small part of what HA provides.

Primarily Performance, but also to allow smaller customers the option of consolidating their databases down to a single server.

I've searched through the server and turned up this.. c:\inetpub\Solarwinds\SWToolSet.exe - v7.6.0.86 c:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\SWToolSet.exe - v7.6.0.86 c:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\NetPerfMon-WebSite.zip\SWToolSet.exe - v7.6.0.86 c:\Program…

You may need to adjust the port to the port each SQL instance is listening on. You may also have MSSQL bound exclusively to a specific IP address, not including the loopback adapter. You will need to ensure that each MSSQL instance is also bound to the loopback interface.

The code executes locally on the Orion server itself and as such must execute within the context of a named user account. This is why you must specify credentials for the Orion server itself. Your SAP credentials must be entered into the SAPOrion profile editor, which are then saved in a file (By Default under…

A lack of an SAP evaluation or reasonably priced development license has thus far hampered our efforts. Monitoring SAP via their proprietary API requires continuous access to the latest versions of SAP software for both Development and QA to validate against. We haven't given up, but progress on the SAP front has been slow…

dfairles wrote: That is true only in the perfect scenario. We have very large SQL servers with multiple AG groups. If you have multiple AG's with different Instance names across more than 2 cluster members then App insight does not work. Adding AG to App insight has been promised for a long time. This sounds like a…

Mark, I'm getting an hour glass when trying to test fire alerts. Sounds like this Is this an known issue. Is there a workaround? Are you getting an hour glass when testing your advanced alert in the Advanced Alerts Manager?
-
No, this is not yet possible with the current version of the SDK/API available today.

VMware doesn't expose hardware health information via SNMP. This information is only available via the VMware API or via the CIM protocol. You will need to ensure that you have the checkbox enabled on the edit nodes page for "Poll for VMware".

I beleive Events may be a better approach to solving this.

Nothing like putting somebody on the spot.

Yes. Unmanaging the Application Pool will remove the Red/Down status.

I'm afraid not. Compatability for the Orion Agent is tied to its version of the Orion Platform. There is some good news, however. There have been an absolute ton of improvements made since 12.3. Especially around installation and upgrades, as well as website performance. If you're under active maintenance, you'd be…

After upgrading to Orion v9 I'm getting the same error as jtimes. Anyone know of a fix to this issue? This was working just fine under 8.5.3.
-
Yes, that is correct. They will be translated in the Orion web interface. Your browser most likely shows you the URL in the bottom of the window when you hover your mouse over the link. That should be fully translated, provided the macros used are correct.

Based on the issue you describe above it sounds like you're having no problems receiving the alert or the information regarding the processes. The issue is that the process that was consuming the CPU load by the time the data was gathered for email was no longer running or it's CPU usage had subsided down to a more…

NCM isn't yet in Release Candidate so I wouldn't bet on it. SolarWinds doesn't adhere to a strict schedule or timeline. A product is released when enough RC participants have provided sufficient feedback on a given release that it is deemed fit for general consumption. E.G. GA. NCM 7.4 is currently in beta (beta 2), which…

we're currently investigating this issue and tracking it internally as FB182767. If you re-open your original case with support please reference this thread so the Support Engineer will route your case appropriately.

That was my last best guess. Sadly I'm out of ideas and can honestly can't say I haven't seen this before. I recommend you open a case with support so we can dig into this issue further and determine what's going on.

I would install the SW SDK on each machine during deplyment. And the shutdown/decomissioning of the server would make a SWIS API call to remove itself?!?! This would not be hard at all to do. Am I nuts? Not at all provided you had the agent install upon startup. I can't imagine in this development world that you restart…

Hmm... just for the record.. I tried renaming an existing map and selecting this renamed map in the resource but that didn't work. I then opened one of my existing maps in map maker and did a "Save As", saving it with a different name and selecting this new map in the resource. But that didn't work either... This is a…

As you suspected the firewall was the issue. I wasn't even aware there was a firewall. Thanks! Are you using the Custom MIB Poller to monitor anything on your PBX? If so do you mind sharing what OID's your monitoring?
-
Andy, could you open a case with support and reference our internal bug tracking number "FB74395". We'd like to collect some additional information and possibly provide you with a workaround Martin has been working on that may resolve your issue.
-
That is correct. However, in this scenario, Hotfix 2 requires Microsoft's .NET 4.8 which is what it's trying to download from the internet. You can install that separately on your own, or you can use the offline bundle to install it for you by running it directly on those pollers. The reason this is not pushed out through…

If the Scalability Engines Installer times out and clicking the 'Retry' button doesn't successfully resume the process after several attempts, then please follow the steps outlined in the KB article below. Note this issue is something we're actively working to resolve. Failed to download or run the Scalability Engine…
