When I try and run the test again I get the original error Testing on node <NODE NAME>: failed with 'NotAvailable' status Unable to access the default MAPI user mailbox(INBOX).

No sir, I changed the file back to APMTEST when it didn't work the first time.. So the profile it created is just APMTEST

This also appears to be a common issue when certificates are not properly bound as outlined in the following blog post. * http://exchangeserverpro.com/the-winrm-shell-client-cannot-process-the-request/

SAM 5.5 (Currently in Release Candidate) allows you to create Custom Properties for applications, and then leverage these properties for sorting and grouping the All Applications Resource.

Alerting and reporting support for UPS monitoring was implemented after the beta was released. As I stated previously in my blog post, this feature is still under development.

The default out-of-the-box alert is attached to this post. You can import this directly into the Advanced Alert Manager.

I have a template with multiple components, each component has only one statistic. Will I be able to plot that one statistic from each component on a multiple object chart? (same template, each script is a different component, each component has only one statistic) Yes, this should work without issue as the screenshot…

Based on the screenshots you provided above the issue you seem to be having is with WMI. Have you tried using Windows Performance Counters instead?

The alert will trigger with each new occurrence of the event you configured to monitor. Which event(s) to alert upon are controlled through the Component settings themselves. Perhaps you have configured the component monitor too broadly?

AppInsight for IIS, which is part of the SAM 6.2 beta, includes native Application Pool monitoring.

Without looking at a MIB walk it's hard to say for sure, but in most cases the you should be using the OID itself 1.3.6.1.4.1.641.2.1.3.1.11 with the GET-NEXT method. However since this is information in the 1.3.6.1.4.1.641.2.1.3 table, it can sometimes be a little more difficult to understand its structure in absence of a…

The RPC Endpoint Mapper is used by any process, service, or application that utilizes WMI, DCOM, or a host of other Microsoft technologies. It is not at all specific to SAM, though SAM does leverage the RPC Port Mapper service when querying devices via WMI, no differently than any other application that utilizes WMI. Let's…

Just to be clear, you're not able to get this template working with Rollup 3, even after attempting to recreate the performance counters? In the meantime I've logged this issue under FB263254 to review the template against rollup 3.

SolarWinds will continue supporting versions of Orion product modules running on Windows Server 2008 and 2012 for quite some time to come. This depreciation notice is notifying you of future versions.

Can you post a screenshot of what you see in the "Network Connections" window of the workstation itself, as well as what's shown in SAM when you click "List Resources"?
-
We posted this as a KB article which can be referenced below. http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/4437/Real-time+Process+Explorer+polling+times+out

Correct, but the behavior you are seeing is inconsistent with what we are seeing in the lab. The "Site Directory Info Monitor" should be disabled automatically when a UNC path is used, preventing the application from reflecting an "unknown" status.

You may have misunderstood. You will need to terminate the agent, run 'free' and note the results. Then start the Agent, run 'free' again, and compare the difference between the previous test. The difference in the buff/cache column is the amount of memory the agent is consuming.

The 403 Error means unauthorized access denied. Have you tried specifying local or domain admin credentials for AppInsight for IIS to use when configuring the server?
-
Agents use the GUID of the machine, MAC Address, and IP Address to determine the uniqueness of any specific machine. Provided the Agent record wasn't deleted from the database by removing the agent through the Orion Web Console, you should not have encountered issues with duplicate Agent records. If you encounter this…

The fantastic people at support straightened me out. Re-running the website portion of the configuration wizard resolved my issue. Thanks again guys! I'm just disappointed in myself for not thinking of that in the first place. Thanks again

Are you still receiving the same error ""Unable to schedule job on agent node 288 - required APM plugin is missing or not installed properly"? Can you try assigning the "Windows Server 2003-2012 Services and Counters" template to this node to see if that returns the same or similar error?

Are you able to SSH to that ESX host using the root credentials from the Orion server? Are there any firewalls, NAT devices, proxy servers, or router access control lists between the Orion server and that ESX/ESXi host?

Seems we're making progress. The following excerpt from this thread may help you sort out the missing performance counters on that instance. dabs wrote: To start with, try to reload the wmi library on the SQL server. I've been working with a Solarwinds developer who truly went above and beyond, working diligently throughout the weekend to find the cause of the poller problem in 8.1. The findings look positive, so hopefully support will have a hotfix 5 released sometime in the not so distant future.
-
Hmm.. That's as simple as it gets. I think to get to the bottom of this it may be best to open a case with support. If you'd like to troubleshoot the issue on your own I suggest enabling debug mode on the application. Save the changes to the application and let it attempt poll a few times. You will find the debug logs…

There is a default alert pre-configured for you out-of-the-box just for this purpose. It can be found under [Home -> Alerts -> Manage Alerts] as shown below.
