Thanks mdriskell for your contribution. I'm sure others in the community will find this very useful.

To remove the Netflow data previously collected by an earlier installation of the NTA module, you can run a truncate command on some of the NetFlow tables. Note: All historical Flow data will be lost by clearing these tables. * Open the Orion Database Manager and connect to your SQL server. * Expand the NetPerfMon table…

You pluralized "statistic". Your output should be Write-Host "Statistic: $stats"
-
You would need to extend the SQL query by adding the vendor field to the SELECT statement and a where clause to filter nodes that don't match your criteria.

Matt, it looks like your case (766133) was opened on 3/2/15 @ 1:23PM and a support engineer followed up the following day (Today 3/3/15) at 2:26PM. At present it appears the case is awaiting diagnostics from your Orion server. Is that correct?
-
I just uploaded a Solarwinds Diagnostic via LeapFile if that helps any.
-
The items you're most interested in that are not included as part of AppInsight for Exchange are those that start with "Transport Queues". The other items in this template can be disabled since they are redundant to what is available in AppInsight for Exchange.
-
If that's the case then there's something else afoot. You should collect debug logs from a failed transaction on the player and diagnostics from the recorder where this transaction is played successfully and open up a case with support so we can figure out what's going on.

If you're using the new web based alert manage the macros have changed slightly. You should use the Macro Browser to insert the appropriate macro(s) into your alert trigger actions.
-
You mean like this? * SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: AppInsight for Exchange: Remote Configuration Failed
-
Hmm.. If it's managed via SNMP then adjusting the SSL timeout value won't resolve the issue. The next time you see this servers hardware health in an unknown state please collect a SolarWinds Diagnostic from the server and open a case with support so we can track the issue down. It sounds like you've already uninstall and…

Alex, I just checked on your case (#751230), and it does not appear to be closed. The last update essentially states that this is not a change in behavior from how External nodes have worked within Orion since they were first introduced in NPM v9.5, more than 5 years ago. While as-implemented, External Nodes may not meet…

@"pratikmehta003" wrote:@"aLTeReGo" I tried all possible things but agent doesnt install... tried agent/server initiated too.. there is no issue with Ports too, it shows open when done telnet.... any insights? Have you opened a support case for this issue?
-
Agreed. so long as you're not monitoring WIndows hosts via SNMP then there's no reason you can't set the delay for 1 minute.
-
This appears to be the same issue you reported earlier and were able to resolve once you added the InResponseTo attribute response to OpenAM.
-
I don't expect us to do that. We realize it would be useful functionality, but with limited resources, we expect to put more weight behind delivering on more of the outstanding core Orion feature requests, which means you still ultimately win. Let me take a shot at translating this.. Question = Will Cisco LWAPs be…

Thanks Mark. All is right with the world again. :)

Understood. It was not feasible nor desirable to prompt this configuration dialog anywhere/everywhere the application name appeared in the Orion interface. The Administrators Guide does however make state that you must click on the application name from the "All Applications resource to configure the server. See step #4.
-
When opening the Service Manager in Windows on that host, do you have a service named "SQL Server Analysis Services"?
-
That is certainly a valid and reasonable enhancement request that would be appropriate to post in the Server & Application Monitor Feature Requests forum.
-
By "Adjusted" what do you mean exactly? These audit events are generated by the operating system. The only way I'm aware of to prevent these entries from occurring are to either switch to SNMP from WMI polling, or disable logging of successful logins.
-
You should start by browsing for the file you want to execute and then fill in the parameters required. The Advanced Alert Manager may be having a hard time finding "psshutdown" without the ".exe" file extension. That's just a hunch. Also, on the Orion server open task manager and select "Show Processes from all users".…

Any update as to where this is in the pipeline? NTA 3.5 was released since the last posting in this thread. I'm looking to optimize my routes based on traffic flow using NTA but without AS numbers it's more than a little difficult.
-
This may be a case better suited for a Webex with support, but the next place I'd recommend checking is that MSSQL is bound to the IP address of the node as see under 'Manage Nodes'. I would also recommend removing AppInsight for SQL from the equation entirely and simplify the configuration to make troubleshooting easier.…

Have you tried changing the "Type" to Text? Or even None? I haven't since there's an associated enumeration map.

Correct. The template(s) don't do anything without SAPOrion.

I can't commit to anything yet, but it's something we're continuing to work towards. We'll update Thwack with more information as it becomes available.

Yes Sir Mark, I'm getting an hour glass when trying to test fire alerts. Sounds like this Is this an known issue. Is there a workaround? Is the hour glass occurring in the Adv. Alerts Manager?
