tigger2, I have asked to have your case 1184575 escalated.

thanks for following up. We'll see about getting this documented more clearly so others don't run into the same issue in the future.

Several of the Barracuda MIBs already exist within the SolarWinds MIB database, but none for their message archiving solution. These MIBs can be submitted for inclusion in the MIB database by opening a case with support and providing the MIB file. The MIB database is typically updated with new submissions weekly. The…

Just guessing here but have you tried adding the node via without the Agent? Also, what SNMP version are you using? I'm suspecting you might have a view limitation applied in your snmpd.conf file. Can you post the contents of your snmpd.conf file here?
-
Note that template assignment to groups can take up to 10min to show results.

The example I provided above would apply to all hosts that are being polled for that MIB. If you wanted to limit the alert to just one host you could add that to the condition of the alert. Such as the example below.

You should perform a MIB walk of the server to determine of the Oracle SNMP agent MIBs have been loaded/installed and configured properly on the database server. It's very unusual to monitor Oracle database servers via SNMP but Oracle's instructions below should get you started. Configuring SNMP for Oracle

I was only able to find one other occurrence of this issue being reported. In that case, running a repair (Add/Remove Programs) and re-running the Configuration Wizard resolved the issue causing that error to appear.

Since the script is executed remotely you'll need to first determine if this script runs successfully from another host. Namely the Orion server itself outside of SAM. If that doesn't work, there's really no help support will be able to provide.

The issue discussed specifically in this thread with the apolloislate not being cachable was also addressed in Hotfix 6

No, Outlook is not, nor has it ever been installed on this computer.

Sorry, that link moved. Its new location is the URL below. Orion Platform 2018.2 Improvements - Chapter One

Out of curiosity, what version of SAM are you running? There's been a recently identified issue with the TopXX alerts in SAM 6.2. A hotfix is in the works for this issue, but if you're running SAM 6.1.1 or earlier it shouldn't effect you since it's related specifically to the new Web Based Advanced Alert Manager included…

THe results are unlikely to add up to 100% since it's only returning the top 10 processes by CPU load. There are likely plenty of other processes consuming some percentage of CPU, but the problem child is very likely shown in the Top 10.

Can you try unmanaging all "down" nodes and applications and see if that eliminates or at least reduces the number of events being generated?
-
"View-Only organization management"should be sufficient for this template to work properly.
-
I can't seem to see how you add all the extra Script Output sections? These are automatically created when you click the "Get Script Output" button when editing the application or template.

Yes, Orion High Availability would be required regardless of whether the servers are on the same or different subnets, if a load balancer is used or isn't, and if a virtual hostname or a VIP is used. A load balacner will not be able to failover the Orion server to the secondary server. Nor will it be able to determine if…

This is a known issue related to NET-SNMP that is outlined in the following KB article, along with a workaround that has resolved this issue for others who have experienced similar issues. * SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: SNMP Process monitors sometimes cause false alerts (process reported as Down when it is not…

Failover Engine was an exception as it was licensed by a 3rd party which went bankrupt. This regrettably, was beyond our control.

Discovery is simply looking for a SQL instance running and listening on the network. There are a variety of different detection techniques used, but if you continue to encounter issues I recommend opening a case with support so we can investigate this properly.

@"dhinagar_j" wrote:@"aLTeReGo" We have HA pool created across multi subnet. In your the example above, the agent itself is consuming roughly 27mb of memory.

To debug the hang, I'm going to need a memory dump. You can create that using Microsoft's "ADPlus" tool, which is part of Debugging Tools for Windows. You can download this from http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/installx86.mspx Once that's installed, wait for NetPerfMonService to get stuck. The open a…

OK craig999 is right. This doesn't work. Why I'm not sure. It SHOULD work exactly the way I described but in testing it clearly doesn't work. What DOES work is if you set the Syslog Message Pattern as *ermServDevice*. Why no capital "T"? I have no idea but I have a case open with SolarWinds to find out why. If I get…

The bat file is being executed in the security context of service. In this case it's the local system account. The local system account does not have sufficient privileges to access the remote computer \\computername. The reason this is working when you run the bat file is because your account has the privileges necessary…

Understood, and I can certainly appreciate your frustration. I can assure you that you are NOT in fact "stupid". It's much more likely that the individual you are working with in support is not intimately familiar with how "External" node types are being used in the real-world. In many cases "External" node types were used…

Have you tried using my template posted at the link below instead? It has no dependencies on cmdlets. HTTP/S Block Check

AppInsight for IIS, which is part of SAM 6.2, includes native Application Pool monitoring. I would strongly recommend upgrading.

Sorry, I've been on vacation since the 4th of July. I haven't been able to work the case. I'll pickup where I left off today or tomorrow. As you can imagine, I returned to a pile of work.
