I may be mistaken, but from your post above it sounds like you are wanting to perform your own uptime checks using curl/wget/etc. then have those results sent to Pingdom to be alerted and reported upon. Is that correct?

The query for virtually any classic resource can be found using Hubble
-
I would argue that using SAM's Service Control Manager with it's 'Start Monitoring' option or the Component Monitor Wizard are both far faster and easier than the manual method outlined above.
-
When you click 'List Resources' you will see memory listed as volume. You can deselect this if you wish, or you can narrow down the scope of your alert to trigger only on volumes of type Fixed Disk to eliminate memory volumes from triggering the alert.
-
Have you clicked 'List Resources' on the node and deselected Windows Scheduled Tasks?

I have also run into this same limitation using IP Geo to add an additional layer of security to my applications. Unfortunately, Pingdom today groups many probes together into regions rather than individual countries. For example, you can't tell Pingdom that you'd like to monitor a site from the United States without also…

Most Orion product modules are sold as perpetual licenses. This means you are entitled to use the version of the product you purchased (or any version released while you were under activel maintenance) in perpetuity, even after your maintenance has expired. Maintenance entitles you to any/all new releases, hotfixed,…

Correct. There is no separate 'desktop' installer. Simply run the Orion installer as @"jm_sysadmin" suggests above on your desktop and select the module you are interested in evaluating.

Go to Manage Nodes and find the node with the node/s you want to modify thresholds on. Expand the carrot/twisty and select the volume(s) you want to modify and click 'Edit Properties' from the top menu. There you can edit thresholds for one or more specific volumes. Also note that fractional percentages are supported. So…
-
It's likely coming from the thresholds defined on the volume. Alerts do not impact status. Rather, status is what triggers alerts.

If you are load balancing between multiple web servers, you will need to enable Sticky sessions, or equivalent. Essentially, a single individual browser session cannot be served from multiple different web servers.
-
Are you saying that when you click the carrot > twisty for 'ATT/Accelerated' on the All Nodes Tree resource that it returns an empty list?
-
If you don't want the case reopened or to change to a different state when retriggered, when simply select '-- None --' for the 'Reopen state'.
-
This is defined in the Create ServiceNow Incident trigger action.
-
Yes. There is no requirement to close the ticket when the alert in Orion resets. You can define the trigger reset action to set the status of the case to 'Pending to close' if that is what you prefer.

SolarWinds offers virtual training classrooms. They can be found in your Customer Portal https://customerportal.solarwinds.com/VirtualClassrooms

Not all Orion modules have been localized into different languages. That is why some of the text is in German, but other text appears in English.

Can you provide a screenshot of the poller on the Node Details Page you are wanting removed? It's still not clear what type of poller was created or what type of information it returned.
-
Is this a Universal Device Poller (UnDP) that was created using the Win32 app?
-
If it helps any, you can add a link to any Modern Dashboard to the global nav in the same way this Branch Office Summary was added to the online demo.
-
If upgrading and re-running the Configuration Wizard does not resolve the issue, then I would recommend rebooting.
-
These events are simply stating that the SNMPv3 credentials were added or updated on those respective nodes. This should be completely unrelated to WMI. Have you tried rebooting one of those pollers to see if WMI polling is restored after a reboot?

MSMQ is not installed as part of the Windows operating system by default. If is, however, added as part of the Orion installation. If you have no other applications installed on the Orion server that are using MSMQ (I would be surprised if you did) then you can safely remove the MSMQ 'feature' from your Orion servers. If…

The Administration Service is downloading a digitally signed PowerShell script, but the Windows list of Certificate Authorities on that machine likely hasn't been updated in a very long time. A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider To update the list of…

A good starting point for troubleshooting would be to review the log files located by default under 'C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Administration'

The Product Catalog specifically comes from downloads.solarwinds.com. If you go to that URL from the Orion server, you should receive a very simple text message 'Not found'. If you receive a timeout or other error, then there is likely something in between that is preventing access to that URL.

RabbitMQ is used exclusively in 2020.2.6 and later. Previous releases also utilized MSMQ, but MSMQ is no longer used in 2020.2.6 or later.

Linux Servers are typically monitored by Orion either agentlessly via SNMP (Using the Net-SNMP Daemon on Linux) or by installing the Orion Agent.
