If you want everyone in the organization to have access to a map, this can be done by creating a Direct Link Account. https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Use-DirectLink-account-to-share-views-with-non-Orion-Web-Console-users?language=en_US…

Correct. The 2020.2.6 release no longer uses MSMQ. If you have no other applications installed on the Orion server that are dependant upon MSMQ after upgrading to the 2020.2.6 release, you can safely remove this from the machine.
-
The installation must be performed on/from the active member. Note that if you would like to pre-stage the upgrade for the purposes of minimizing downtime, see my previous post above to @"apap"
-
Note that Centralized Upgrades is no longer dependant upon the Orion server having internet access. Simply select the option to pre-stage the environment using installer. This will use the offline installer and push upgrade/hotfix/service release to all Orion servers in the environment without actually doing the upgrade…

Let's start with something simpler first. Try adding a table of the data to the details view. Add the Universal Device Poller Status to your ViewClick “Settings > All Settings” in the top navigation of the Orion web interface and then click “Manage Views” under “Views”. Select "Node Details" from the list and click "Edit".…

Sounds like possibly different builds of 2020.2.6 are installed on the main and additional pollers. Is it possible that you participated in the 2020.2.6 Release Candidate and never upgraded your APEs to the final GA release? Also, have you tried deploying the hotfix through the Orion web interface via Centralized Upgrade,…

Have you opened a case with support?
-
You are referencing a hotfix for the Orion Platform which can be patched independent of modules, such as NCM or SRM. That is why in the footer of the Orion web interface, there is a version shown for the Orion Platform, and one for each module if there are differences. For example, if there is a HF1 for the Platform, but…

When searching for an account, ensure that there are no credentials (username or password) entered into the option 'Specify credentials to access Active Directory or Local Domain, as pictured below. Does that work?
-
I believe what you're looking for is the Custom Object Resource. This widget should allow you to take any widget from a details page and add it to a summary view.
-
That is not the case. Either sanitation is on for Custom HTML resources, or it is not. It's simply a binary option that cannot be set on an individual widget basis, and has no effect on other widget types other than the Custom HTML widget.

You will probably want to look at Server & Application Monitor's ODBC User Experience Monitor. It has the ability to execute queries against a database that return numeric values, store them, chart them, report them,, set thresholds (if so desired) and alert upon those values.
-
That's fine. IOPS are collected for Windows, Linux, and AIX nodes polled using the Agent.
-
IOPS information is collected by the Orion Platform for Nodes managed via WMI or the Orion Agent. This information is reportable under 'volumes' in the Report Writer for nodes that meet that criteria.
-
Orion does not include a native ability to fetch/poll arbitrary string values to populate custom properties. You could certainly do this as part of a script though. In PowerShell for example.. Query computer description from Active Directory:…
-
Have you tried going to "All Settings", scrolling down to accounts, then clicking on "Advanced AD Settings" and filling that info in?
-
Why is it that you are disabling HtmlResourceSanitizationEnabled and then re-enabling it?
-
You will want to create your own custom properties, and simply use the Alert Engine and the logic you provide to populate the value of the custom property you created.
-
You would likely need to export the properties from Active Directory and import them as Custom Properties into Orion. Export: https://www.codetwo.com/admins-blog/export-users-from-active-directory/…
-
There is zero calculation performed for WMI polling of CPU. It's simply a query and the CPU value is returned to Orion as a percentage of overall usage. If you're seeing a discrepancy between real-time polling and the normal polled values, then I suggest opening a support case so we can troubleshoot the issue. I can say…
-
It's difficult to say what could be going on here without some additional context. Can you provide a little more information around the following areas? 1. What version of Orion are you running, and what product modules are installed? 2. Are the Maps built with Network Atlas or are you using Orion Maps? 3. Is enhanced…
-
As part of an alert trigger you can set a custom property. Perhaps a trigger condition that if the node has AppInsight for SQL assigned and the custom property not set, then have the trigger action set the custom property?
-
I can't imagine anything in the Agent itself that could result in VMware tools being uninstalled. Is ADM enabled on this server, or possibly NetPath?
-
When you say 'it blew away the NIC', what exactly does that mean? After the Agent was upgraded those machines not longer had a network interface registered with the operating system? Were these Windows, Linux, or AIX agents that this occurred on?
-
There is no requirement to run the Configuration Wizard to apply an SSL certificate. That is primarily there as a convenience. If for some reason the certificate is not appearing, I would recommend trying to apply the SSL certificate to the IIS Orion website directly.…

This is because the API Poller response is properly formatted. This is likely because the API Poller is designed specifically for this purpose and as a result the UI does not really allow for much freedom for error. The HTTP/HTTPS Post in the Alert Manager is free form, so that the response sent can be in JSON, XML, etc.…

VLAN 1 appears to be shutdown, so that's odd that you would be seeing traffic on that VLAN. Regardless, it's rare but not completely unusual that the interface bandwidth speed returned from the device is incorrect. This happens more often with virtual interfaces, such as VLANs. You can override what the device is reporting…

In the 2020.2.6 release this setting was moved to centralized settings. https://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/en/flarehelp/npm/content/core-custom-html-resource.htm?cshid=OrionPHResourceCustomHTMLText
-
What version of the Orion Platform are you currently running?
-
We previously had a free offering called Alert Central which provided the functionality you describe above. This functionality is not, however, native to the Orion Platform at this time.
