How many nodes are you monitoring? Servers/Routers/Switches/Etc

This is expected "as designed" behavior as System Manager has been depreciated. Going forward all node management should be performed using the WebUI.

What is the issue you are experiencing exactly? The most common pitfall that people fall into is not realizing that SNMP Daemons such as SNMP4J typically run on a different port than the operating system's native SNMP daemon (NET-SNMP in many cases). This means you will most likely be unable to use the Universal Device…

Yes, you can use SAM to monitor both Apache and MySQL on your Storage Manager server. However, you will likely have to change some configuration settings on the Storage Manager server to do so. For example, to monitor Apache your STM must be running on Unix. You'll need to know the root SSH credentials to connect to run…

The SQL User Experience Monitor in SAM supports both Windows Authentication and SQL Authentication. All Orion products however only support SQL authentication for installation as stated by above.

The script body is contained within the application templates for each component. I would recommend copying/pasting each of them into an SSH session to run them manually and determine which component is causing these permission notification. This is likely normal expected behavior in your environment for any command that…

There is no direct import from Nagios into SAM, nor any way beyond manual comparison to validate the configuration between these two different management systems. Typically during migration I move one test/check/probe/sensor/plugin at a time to SAM's Nagios Script Monitor. Once I've confirmed it's working I remove it from…

Is this a server application you're trying to monitor? From you description it sounds like you're trying to monitor a collection of processes that could be running on the host, but may or may not actually be running at all. At least not all the time. Is that correct?

Wildcard matching for the File Size Monitor is currently a feature request that's being tracked internally as FB108223. Provided there are no other files in the directory you can use the Directory Size monitor instead.

Yes, SeUM can be used to provide timing measurements of file downloads. If you're having trouble downloading files with SeUM, can you provide specifics as to what exactly the problem is you're seeing? Is this the SeUM Recorder or Player that is having difficulty downloading the file? What type of file is this? Word…

Since you are using a 64bit database driver you will need to edit the application, expand "Advanced", and change the "Platform to run polling job on" from "x86" to "x64". Save your changes and SAM should properly recognize your 64bit driver.

The application summary views (which I believe you are referring to) should be filtered based on the application name of the view is named after. This can be seen when you customize the view. You will find the view filter based on an application name pattern.

That template will return the aggregate total across all printers, but if needed you can customize or create your own template to target specific printer statistics.

You can configure the URL AppInsight uses to collect data via PowerShell so that it uses HTTP rather than HTTPS. Alternatively you can use our free Remote Execution Enabler for PowerShell tool to easily configure secure WinRM in masse/bulk instead. Once this tool is used, no further configuration is required to monitor…

How would you anticipate using Regex in SAM's HTTP User Experience Monitor to accomplish this task? In plain english, can I assume you would be doing something like find "Completed" near "Process #1" or something to that effect? To answer your question above, I would recommend using a PowerShell Script Monitor to parse the…

We were made aware of the issue very early this morning and are currently working to develop a hotfix to address this issue. It will likely take a few days before a fix is available publically. Unfortunately there are no known workarounds at this time aside from removing the resource from the view until a hotfix which…

You shouldn't need to mess with IIS at all. Simply import the certificate using Windows Certificate Manager and then select the certificate Orion should use as part of the website section of the Configuration Wizard. Repeat this same step on the HA backup.

There's really no benefit to be had from breaking up the OS from the application and the website; especially if they all still reside on the same spindles. At best you *might* avoid some disk fragmentation, but that's really all. Ideally you would break the OS/application/website up on a single C:\ drive, and then move the…

Have you ensured that DHCP server is configured with available DHCP leases on the subnet the Orion server is on?

chipsch, I can't say I've seen that error before. Can you please open a case with support? We'll need to look through your diagnostics to determine the cause of the issue.
