SAM does not at this time support the Hardware Heath monitoring of HBA's. This is a feature request we are tracking internally under FB107945. Is it safe to assume you are using HP HBAs or are you using QLogic or Emulex?

I'm afraid SAM is teasing you. What this message is stating is that groups can contain applications, or individual component monitors. Not that you can assign an Application Template to an Orion group.
