If this machine ever had its motherboard replaced it's likely the engineer never flashed the BIOS with the serial number. You should check the native tools to see if the serial number is available there first.

It leads me to wonder, what exactly does this mean for any device in the "Polling Details" NEXT REDISCOVERY 08:36 AM. If that doesn't pick it up, and the weekly…

Overhead on the monitored SQL server is essentially immeasurable. That is to say that obviously there is some load associated with anything you do Even just logging into the console of the SQL Server. However our performance testing has shown that the overhead associated with AppInsight is so insignificant as to be…

You can create new Custom Properties through the Custom Property Editor [Settings -> Manage Custom Properties]. Once created, you can either assign these Custom Properties to applications through the Custom Property Editor, or within the application editor.

The MIN/MAX Average Statistic Data chart support visualizing the thresholds within the chart resource, and even support multi-value script monitors as show below.

Note that this issue is not applicable to nodes which have the Linux Agent installed. It's a limitation of agentless polling against the NET-SNMP daemon.
-
Note that per-node diagnostics through the Orion web interface collects an SNMP walk from devices managed via SNMP. [Settings > My Orion Deployment > Diagnostics > Collect Diagnostics]

Correct. SAM does not support hardware health monitoring of the Blade Chassis itself for IBM BladeCenters, like we do HP and Dell. This is because we were unable to obtain an adequate number of customer provided MIB walks from these devices for research and investigation.

Duplicate of an existing feature request here -> https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3036

Why are you unable to configure SNMP on AIX and HP-UX?

Inherit Credential from Node should work using the Agent without issue for anything that requires Windows operating system access. This includes things like IIS, Windows DNS, DHCP Services, Active Directory, etc. etc.. Credentials can be specified for those applications that utilize application specific credentials, such…

This has been implemented since NPM 10.4.1

No. Unfortunately It will not be ready in time to make the SAM 6.1 release.

First, I'm loving your custom created resource. Very nice touch! Second, based on the screenshot provided it would appear this is a bug. If you haven't already, I strongly encourage you to open a case with support so we can look into this issue. Linear gauges and numerical statistic values in the "Volume Details" resource…

You should already be able to add SAM component monitor metrics to PerfStack as demonstrated below.
-
I was more thinking what determines if the user can add/remove/edit nodes, as this is not a product specific feature. Both SAM and NPM share nodes.
-
Are all services running on at least one host? Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing? Is each of the Orion servers managed by Orion as nodes through the Agent? If not, please do so.

Updated MySQL templates are available at the links below. * MySQL (5.7.9 or later) for Windows * MySQL (5.7.9 or later) for Linux-Unix

Both items you reference are things we are considering for a future release.

Release Candidates are fully supported in production environments, and we have hundreds of customers who have already upgraded to 2019.4.

Nothing standardized across operating systems. Personally, I'm a fan of Apache Guacamole

Yes, it has always been a requirement that all product modules be upgraded. This was not properly enforced early on, which caused a lot of issues for customers that encountered compatibility issues after selectively upgrading only some of their modules. This was later properly enforced with the new installer that requires…

This is already possible today. Simply create a new vCenter account that does not have permissions to the guests in the 'Sandbox' environment. When you log into the vCenter console using that account those 'Sandboxed' guests should not appear for that user account. Next, change the account used for monitoring your vCenter…

PerfStack reordering metrics automatically in saved PerfStacks was a bug in its first release. This was addressed and resolved in the NPM 12.2 release.

You are correct that AppInsight for SQL in SAM 6.0 is designed for Microsoft SQL and will not work with Oracle, MySQL, or IBM DB2. However, these are all separate individual ideas we are considering for future releases of SAM, as well as tying this information together across front end systems like ERP/Web servers/etc for…

jpaluch wrote: Is it possible to redirect Orion Log Viewer to different database server? Is there a point in doing so? We were having some issues with DB performance of Orion and I would like to avoid adding more workload to it. Absolutely! This is something you choose when running the Configuration Wizard.

Some portions of this feature request are currently being worked on, but is not part of NPM 11.0.1. For more information on what we're working on after the SAM 6.2 release, see the following post. Server & Application Monitor - What we're working on beyond SAM 6.2

John, your feature request has been logged internally under FB114749.

Out of curiosity, what functions are you missing from the new web based alert manager that were available to you in the Win32 based one?
