Sweet! Can you post a screenshot of what the email looks like?

SAM 6.3 Beta 2 is now available which includes a Linux Agent for Node, Volume, Interface, and Application monitoring, negating the need to SSH into devices as root to execute scripts or other application monitoring. If you already own Server & Application Monitor and are under active maintenance, you can sign-up to…

This report must be copied into the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Reports' directory on your Orion server.
-
If you're experiencing issues with Agent stability and reliability, I strongly encourage you to open a support case so we can determine the cause. These are both key tenants of the Agent which we are heavily focused on.
-
avrilspirit, it's not at all uncommon for us to include experimental new features in beta versions to solicit feedback. While that particular functionality may not have been included in NPM 12.3, it's very possible it will find its way into a future release.
-
Absolutely! There's even a Wizard built-in to SAM where you simply click the services you'd like to monitor. [Settings -> SAM Settings -> Component Monitor Wizard -> Windows Service Monitor] You can also use the Service Control Manager, located in the "Management" resource on the "Node Details" view and click the "Start…

While it was possible to utilize Amazon RDS with previous releases of NPM, it was not supported. This is because many features of the product did not function properly when using Amazon RDS, whether those people utilizing RDS realized it or not. This is because previous releases of Orion were dependent upon MSDTC, which is…

I would encourage you to participate in the NPM 12.3 beta and join the NPM Beta forum where this is discussed.
-
What happens when you click on the NPM beta link on this page? -> Network Performance Monitor
-
Stay tuned. A beta is pending, so keep your eyes peeled to the NPM beta forum.
-
The Collector and Information Service, as well as others are already 64bit. Are there 32bit services you're finding in your environment are nearing or approaching the 2GB limit?
-
sja I know cobrien has it on his list to expand the number of vendors NPM natively supports for hardware health.
-
I believe the following feature request sums up what we're thinking fairly well.

I just posted CPU/Memory pollers for Huawei devices at the link below. Huawei CPU/Memory

There is zero requirement to upgrade NTA to use MSSQL to upgrade to NPM 12.3, SAM 6.6.1, etc. etc. in this release. You can continue to use FastBit for NTA if you're not yet ready to upgrade your MSSQL server. This will likely not remain the case indefinitely, so I would still encourage you to upgrade your MSSQL server at…

Yes. Release Candidates are upgradable to later Release Candidates and the final GA release.

Download has been fixed

Amazon RDS support was added, but we have not yet thoroughly completed our performance and scalability testing. So while I can say that it works, I can not yet state that Orion will scale equally on RDS as it does on a dedicated SQL instance.

If you've renewed your annual FoE maintenance already in 2017, then you should find shiny new HA v2.0 licenses currently provisioned to your customer portal.
-
You do NOT need to own multiple copies of any given module. For Example, let's say I own 'NPM' and 'SAM' (license tier is irrelevant) and no Additional Polling Engines. So I just have a single main Orion server currently with both SAM and NPM installed. If I want to make that redundant, I simply buy a single HA license to…
-
If you had the main Orion server and one Additional Polling engine, and wanted them both protected by HA, then you would need two HA licenses. HA is licensed by the number of servers you want to protect. http://www.solarwinds.com/onlinequotes/#/onlineQuote?productcode=170
-
HA v2.0 can be deployed in a same subnet or multi-subnet failover configuration. This allows you to use it on your LAN for local failover or across a WAN for disaster recovery.
-
High Availability 2.0 is our second release of a new product which replaces the functionality of the legacy Failover Engine (FoE). This is a licensable feature of the Orion Platform, similar to Additional Polling Engines and Additional Web Servers.
-
smoked_angus, NPM and NCM are now in Release Candidate and should be available for download through your Customer Portal.
-
OpenLDAP and other non-AD LDAP providers are not currently supported at this time.
-
It is currently limited to Active Directory.
-
sja, LDAP support was added in the last release.
-
four minutes is typically how before the Orion web interface is fully functional. Since we prioritize polling and alerting first and foremost, these services typically recover in roughly two minutes. Faster in some instances depending upon hardware. The web interface is the last thing to return to service when a recovery…

Escalating to DanielleH as this should not be occurring from what I'm able to decipher.

If you goto the NPM forum and click on the 'Beta' button, do you get the same results? If so, when exactly does your maintenance expire for NPM under the SWID you've linked your Thwack account to?
