neilgmt I've scoured previous cases and have been unable to find any similar reported issues. Is this occurring on all pages or just some? By default certain pages do not refresh automatically because they don't need to. Some examples of this are the Settings views. Other pages load their content asynchronously. Therefore…

If the certificates aren't accessible via HTTPS then SAM cannot monitor them. You might however be able to work some magic using Network Configuration Manager.

Documentation of the Windows Service Monitor can be found at the link below. http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/OrionAPMPHComponentTypesWindowsService.htm

We've made some fairly significant improvements to Agent Discovery in the latest release of the Orion Platform. For more details, follow the link below. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-204353#jive_content_id_Orion_Agent_Rediscovery

You are not alone. This appears to be an issue with Thwack. DanielleH is aware of the issue and will update this thread when the issue is resolved.

Sounds like what you are describing is a legitimate bug in IOS. I'm not sure what the feature request would be in NPM, but maybe I'm missing something here.
-
Yup! This is still an issue with 10.1.0.30

Note: the "SolarWinds.APM.HardwareHealthTool.exe" tool is located in the Orion APM directory inside Program Files. For 64bit machines the default location is "C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\APM"

I had to change the parameters slightly to mimic what you were monitoring, so I went with the Maintenance Log rather than the Operational Log, but I did not encounter any issue with SAM 6.2. If you're testing based on an event that exists in the log currently, you'll need to adjust the "Number of past polling intervals to…

There are two hotfixes available from Microsoft that addresses issues with the Remote Registry service. They're available at the links below. * Remote Registry service leaks memory when it handles customized v2 performance counter queries in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 * FIX: The Remote Registry service crashes…

If you are using pass through authentication on the workstation where you created the recording the credentials may not have been properly captured. This issue, including a workaround is outlined in the KB article below.…

Have you tried using the multi-edit function in the Custom Property editor to make mass changes?

I'm a huge fan of MRTG and have been using it for many years. I don't understand how MRTG solves the problem you describe above. MRTG isn't a product it's a perl script, nothing more. It has no distributed configuration, but instead has significant scalability problems when used in large environments. Cacti attempts to…

I really like rgward's list so I'll try not to duplicate it here. I tried to categorize these as best as I could. Report Writer - Custom MIB Reporting More Robust Custom MIB Poller - Define Custom Names for Pollers that include spaces (Helpdesk staff and Management have no idea what some of these MIB names mean) Custom MIB…

Have you considered using the out-of-the-box Tomcat template? * Apache Tomcat

Sounds like you might have this subnet still referenced in nightly discovery jobs

is correct. You will need Oracle credentials to connect to the Oracle database server. You will also need to ensure that you've installed the Oracle client on the Orion server. You can download the Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.Net) from Oracle's website, or use the Basic Lite Oracle Client that's available for…

If you go to the Virtual host details view you should see which thresholds are being exceeded.

THe macro you would use there would be ${Caption}

These messages can be excluded from being logged by following the steps outlined in any of the following articles. * Snmpd filling up /var/log/messages « Harsh but fair * Eliminating SNMP "Connection from UDP" Messages | Raining Packets * How to Disable Repeating “Connection from UDP” SNMP Logs in RHEL6?

With the new Web Based Report Writer, included in SAM 6.0 you can create graphical reports that include charts for volume usage. The simplest way however would be to use the out of the box "All Disk Volumes Inventory Report" pictured below. Each volume shown is hyperlinked to the volume details view where you can see the…

Detroiter posted a very clever workaround to this issue in the following thread. * Application custom properties in advanced alerts The ability to use Application Custom Properties natively as email address in alert actions of the Advanced Alert Manager has been fixed in the SAM 6.1 release, currently in beta.
-
Any time you re-run the Configuration Wizard you will need to update these values in the database to reflect the FQDN so that alert macros use the FQDN rather than the hostname of the server.
-
The fact that you have "Routing table" listed as an option tells me this node is managed via SNMP. You will need to change the polling method for this node to use WMI or the Agent instead.
-
The screenshots appear to show the server is paging, which usually means there is insufficient memory in the server. How does this relate to your MSMQ queues? Is the paging occurring on the Orion or SQL server?
-
Does this script function outside of SAM as-is using the 32bit version of PowerShell (Assuming SAM is installed on a 64bit OS).

pratikmehta003 wrote: Use case 3: The benefits of SAM node based of allowing Free APEs ; free APE is only for SAM specific nodes so again this doesn’t help even for the multi module deployments. The ability for Orion to use Windows Authentication to connect to the SQL database was added in NPM 12.2 and all product modules which include Core 2017.3. Windows Authentication & SSL Encryption for Orion Microsoft SQL Database connectivity

Import the following report and give that a try.

john_booth@ahni.com, the ProLiant BL460c should already be supported by SAM's Hardware Health and Asset Inventory in the latest release.
